The bakery was flat out serving customers during the Christmas/New Year period. We ordered and you are given one of those devices that buzz when your order is ready. For the information of others all food and drinks are served in cardboard containers - everything comes out of food preparation area in paper bags and is collected from near the coffee machine. We observed a bit of confusion with the delivery of some of the orders, due probably to them being very busy and everything is delivered in white paper bags. I think in some cases patrons mistakenly grabbed somebody else’s order. We ordered a croissant and banana bread with ricotta and honey (as per the menu). My wife was very happy with the croissant but my banana bread came without the ricotta and honey. I queried this with the kitchen and was told because I didn’t specify the extras i got plain banana bread. They were prepared to cook a new piece of banana bread but i would have to pay extra. Given the delay in the food arriving i declined. I find it odd that patrons are expected to list all the ingredients when ordering from the set menu. Perhaps it was just a case of the Christmas rush. The pies looked great.

We had lunch here between Christmas and New Year and it was frantically busy with the queue for orders extending out the front door. So, possibly not the best time to give a review. All customers order at the front counter and then collects their food/drinks from another part of the counter. This goes for eat-ins as well as takeaways. It was very crowded in the front part of the cafe. We were a big group (7) and were lucky enough to get a table out the back, near their playground. (They deserve a big tick for the playground, at least). It was a hot day so we ordered cooler drinks like milk shakes, spydas and iced coffees. The iced coffee and the spydas were excellent. Meals didn't quite reach the same level of approval: pies were run of the mill and while the grilled chicken burger was OK, the accompanying salad was insipid. Probably our main complaint though was that all utensils, plates, cups etc were disposable. I shudder to think how much the cafe was sending to land-fill each day.

I had an amazing pie floater with mashed peas, mashed potatoes and gravy on a delicious chunky pie. It was a great hangover cure and so delicious. I also had a milkshake, it was so good and generous serve. The deserts are amazing also. This place is fantastic.

Although there was an impressive array of cakes and slices on display, surprisingly, none of them had prices shown. Our coffee was really very ordinary - weak and lacking in any caffeine hit. Although we ate in, our coffee was served in takeaway cups and our cakes in paper bags - very down market! There was no table service - we had to wait until our name was called by a very grumpy young woman to collect our coffees. Her lack of personality and sourness seemed to be the norm with the other staff we encountered. All in all a very disappointing experience.

5 of us went to the Husky Bakery for breakfast. At the time it was very busy, but there is a big seating area, so we were able to get a table. The food was served in cardboard lids with wooden cutlery. I understand the save the planet thing…but really??? I had the scrambled eggs on toast with a side of mushrooms and a hash brown. The eggs were under seasoned and the mushrooms looked like they had been boiled. Both were tasteless. The hash brown was the only good thing. One of us ordered a pie and it seemed to be good. The coffee was good and someone ordered a juice, and they liked it as well. The staff were friendly. I would not recommend this place for brekky. If you want a pastry or pie, you are probably in the right area. Would not return if I was looking for a place to have breakfast.

Rude old lady at the front told me to step away from the front door as I was trying to tell my wife what i want to order. (I was out the front as i had the kelpie in tow) Vanilla slice is terrible. Any of my first year apprentice pastry chefs could do better, it's sad that covid has reduced a bakery into selling something that is on par with what Coles would sell at 90% off cause it's on its last day. Coffee is of less quality than the coffee store next to the pigs one I had in the morning. As a chef previously running a fine dining restaurant in Sydney I didn't expect too much, but you guys managed to bottom out on any expectations. Sorry if any of the other staff were implicated in this review. I would of let the whole experience slide if the old lady wasn't extremely rude at the front door.

A tourist staple in Huskisson, the bakery has been around for decades. I haven't visited in probably a decade myself and not sure what the Bakehouse Expresso Group is but nevertheless they claim to have a few outlets around the Shoalhaven. Pies was average with small sizes and a little pricey for what they are.. but there is sit down table service unlike most bakeries. Service was attentive but they began packing up an hour before closing. Coffee pretty ordinary but not overpriced. Iced chocolate at 6.50 wasn't a great deal. It's one of those places who charge for tomato sauce too - $0.40 each! One for the tourists and socialisers to enjoy. As a local I am not in a hurry to return alone as there are better value bakeries in the area.

What a bakery! So many options, cakes , pastries, pies galore. We went for breakfast and got some items to take to the beach. Got strawberry doughnut, caramel slice, croissant, nenish tart, steak pie and milkshakes. All really good. Pies where filling and big. I could have gotten a lot more. Cooked fresh breakfast items available. Plenty of tables and small playground for the kids. Great place. Definitely worth a visit when in Huskisson.

If you have the taste for meat pie, sausage roll or egg/bacon roll Huskisson Bakery is the place to visit. Tucked in a side street just off Owen, there is ample seating. All your baked favourites are available and often has seating when many other local cafes are full.

It is extremely difficult to find a genuine, old fashioned cream bun these days. The bunnies in this bakery were excellent - and I tested them for consistency over a number of days! Other cakes and pies were freshly made and very reasonably priced and and the bakery was very busy, which is usually a good sign. Coffee was OK and service was busy but efficient and friendly.

The staff really need to change their attitude, they need to remember that without tourism they will not be in business. They charge for heating up pies after you purchase it. Here is a suggestion, maybe ask the customer when purchasing the product, "would you like it heated". Also thank you and smiles are suggested. There is a great coffee shop close by with better service and friendly staff.

We tried here first and last time today. Ordered the tasteless stoggy sausage roll and the beef mince pie that completely collapses when you first bight it and also the chewy pepper beef with slop gravy which also collapses because the bottom pastry is undercooked. Oh that’s right we didn’t ask for these at all but that’s what we got. The eating area was also not clean. Wanted to give one star but was talked around to be a little more kind!

Ate here two mornings in a row. First was a late breakfast with a chunky steak pie that I couldn't resist and the second was a coffee and a made to order bacon and egg roll. Beautiful and filling and unloaded more than $100 in treats for the family over the two days - will be returning!

Went for breakfast then back for lunch the next day and breakfast again! Delicious food! I love “traditional” bakery food. Loved the chocolate croissant my only complaint is they run out of them. The lemon meringue pies had true hard meringue on top. It was beautiful!! Coffee was good too. Pies were delicious The service was fine. It’s difficult because they were very busy every time we went- but they didn’t seem to care about customer service. The person making coffees told me she could not help me with my order as she only does coffee- then when our kitchen order arrived it was mixed up with someone else’s. However, the staff were all very young and the food was incredible so I would go back anyway.

I must admit that this is a favourite of ours when we visit Huskisson. The coffee is really good which is essential for me. The pies and sausage rolls are fabulous and quite a signature item of this bakery. This time we also treated ourselves to some delicious home made sandwiches (the fantastic chicken satay wraps had sold out by the time we got back after the triathlon) and home made cakes as well. All really delicious and in very pleasant surroundings.
