Visited on a Wednesday night, restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived, thought initially we had made a poor choice but it soon had several diners and we could see why - the food was delicious and the service fast and friendly. We opted for...the $59 degustation menu and this proved to be an excellent choice. A selection of four or so entrees, two on the freshest betel leaves I have seen outside Thailand, followed by a selection of mains: a bowl of rice, a beautiful steamed fish, green thai curry beef cheeks and a salted calamari dish. We were struggling to finish the generous servings. The freshness of the dishes is what impressed us with many of the ingredients sourced from an asian grocery in Nowra - I am trying to track down those amazing betel leaves. The whole meal was excellent value for money particularly when you consider BYO wine is allowed for a modest $8 corkage. We finished the evening with two mojito cocktails - we were intrigued to see if they tasted as good as they looked and the signature sprig of fresh mint said it all. A great effort by barman Taylor. We have been travelling from Melbourne north to Jervis Bay and in between. We have missed the Asian flavours and chilli flavours of our favourite restaurants. Tonight we had our Asian and chilli fix, and beyond. The food was a definite mix of Asian Fusion....Loads of flavours and herbs. We had the salt and pepper squid and pork belly for entrees. Both dishes were delicious. We followed this with the slow cooled beef cheek curry and a chicken dish with 2 king sized prawns. All of this was mixed with lovely wine and a cocktail. Everything was amazing. We hope to be back before we leave.More

We are holidaying nearby and had read the reviews for WildGinger on Trip Advisor before hand. It looked promising so we decided to book. There is a reason why it has such impressive reviews- it’s absolutely phenomenal! The fusion of Asian cuisines has been well...thought out & articulated. Each dish dances on your palate and is superb. My partner and I shared the crab salad entree, the sticky ribs for our main, and, the banana pudding for dessert. We also enjoyed a cocktail and mocktail which were just as incredible as the food. It exceeded our expectations. Priced accordingly, but still affordable. Staff were also lovely & attentive. Omg , the Chefs Banquet menu was a great way to taste the versatility of flavors Wild Ginger has to offer . My husband chose the two course set menu . He is not usually keen on spicy food. However he just loved the subtle...flavors this menu offered . We were guided by the bar-man as to what would suit our taste buds …. And Wild Ginger did not disappoint . Highly recommended . Food was amazing! Went with family one of which has very strict dietary requirements which affect health. Our waitress came to explain the menu and when we discussed the dietary requirements she happily explained which dishes would be best and alterations they could make to...them and the menu to ensure they were ok for this family member. The food came and was so tasty and flavoursome, everything was as per our order even for the dietary requirements. The food was just sooo good! Honestly never had food to tasty and authentic. We had a great night, fun, happy and friendly staff who put in such an effort to make you feel comfortable, and catered for. The customer service was outstanding! We can’t wait to come again! Service great, food fabulous and Easter Friday packed. You have two choices a $55 pp package or $59pp and can I say the second is substantial so go hungry

We had a really great time dining at Wildginger on 12th Jan '23. We did not have a booking and the staff happily accommodated us at the bar. Sam the Bar Man was terrific! Just a great evening all round.

We only had time to go during happy hour (we already had lunch and dinner bookings elsewhere). Amazing cocktails! Regretted not being able to dine here! We will definitely be back for more!
