This is one great stop if you want coffee and a wee break about halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. The bakery has been running for years and is still one of the best in the state for pies and pastries and now I see they have doing sandwiches, rolls, and some other styles of foods to cover everyone's tastes. Great... More

Holbrook's reputation for outstanding food on the highway is well founded. I always experience an excellent range of breads and bakes, served at tables or take away. The food is consistently good.

Stopped off here for brekky, was pleasantly surprised by a decent breakfast menu, loads of seating inside and out. There were a few gluten free options mainly in sweets. Good coffee. Great selection of drinks. Service was quick, accurate and competent. The food reasonable prices. I ordered an all day breakfast roll, it arrived hot and prompt. It was just... More

We regularly stop at the Holbrook Bakery when we travel (frequently) between Canberra and Albury. Their coffee is excellent (husband is a coffee snob) and their Swiss rolls are, I believe, excellent also. (Again, the husband's passion.) I usually opt for something more nutritious such as one of their freshly made salad rolls which are always very tasty, and filling.... More

Had to wait as it was very busy, but worth it! Pies were hot and delicious and lots of variety in cakes.

We ordered the hot beef & gravy roll, chicken & gravy roll (this was the best I've had) & egg & lettuce sandwich. All lovely & fresh plus definitely huge serves. The cakes were fantastic, again they were huge. Of course we bought extra to take with us. We bought the lemon meringue tart, giant wagon wheel, vanilla slice (snot... More

There is now a bypass around Holbrook, but its worth coming off the highway to stop at this bakery/cafe, not far from the submarine. It was busy when we visited, but the many friendly staff reduced the queue very quickly. You can sit inside, on the verandah or take-away. They had freshly made sandwiches reading to go, along with a... More
