Getting back to the true roots of regional Italian food. Our ever changing seasonal menu is based on true regional Italian dishes using local produce from our wonderful farmers and producers. We don't reinvent the wheel, and our food is not modern - we are bringing back and keeping alive the old recipes which are being forgotten. We also producers of the Riverina's only dried artisan pasta made with 100% local semolina. Ciao!

A wonderful traditional Italian dining experience.

Housed in a beautiful historic building Zecca is a nod to heritage and place. Warm and generous the team have created a passionate regional experience marrying regional recipes from their Italian heritage with local regionally sourced ingredients honouring and sharing both. Superbly crafted delicious dishes generously portioned (I took my leftovers home) and full with flavour. Married with a carefully plotted wine list featuring local wineries and a few faves from Italy drinks are more than affordable allowing a dabble in drinks not readily available in the capitals. A wonderful evening, we can’t wait to return next visit. Congrats team👏🏻

A great experience all round!

Attended on a busy Saturday evening. First rate experience, fantastic genuine Italian food obviously prepared and presented with passion, and very attentive staff. By far the best of three 'Italian' restaurants we visited in Griffith.

One of the best in Griffith

I purposely planned our trip so we could dine at Zecca, the menu has changed from last year, but as they say to keep the same food on the menu is boring, it may be for them who are cooking but I would have liked to see at least one seafood pasta. The service is always great and the food also, and I do love their pasta which I purchase not only from them in the restaurant but also on line. As good as fresh any day..

Sorry to say but i see all these great reviews posted did we dine at the same place ??? The service over all was great the waiter i had was friendly, helpful and was able to answer questions on dishes. However once food came out it was not of a decent size for what they are charging for the dishes and certainly very bland lacked flavour. However if owners were open to critical criticism to improve their business would thrive. Menu needs to be updated and would be great if had more of a variety, ideally they should have winter and summer menu. I have worked in hospitality and this is a must. This will definitely bring more customers to the restaurant.

Ciao, ok, cominciamo: Over rated: Sorry to say but i see all these great reviews posted did we dine at the same place ???: Are you sure you did actually dine with us at Zecca Handmade Italian? The service over all was great the waiter i had was friendly, helpful and was able to answer questions on dishes: We have a great team, thank you for the positive compliment, it is greatly appreciated. However once food came out it was not of a decent size for what they are charging for the dishes and certainly very bland lacked flavour: This seems strange as we have not determined you did actually dine with us. Are your tastebuds damaged/not working? However if owners were open to critical criticism to improve their business would thrive: We are pretty happy with how we run our thriving business, grazie. If your experience was not great as you have stipulated, why didn’t you come and have a chat with us that night, rather than air your grievances on a public forum after the fact once nothing could be done to fix? Menu needs to be updated and would be great if had more of a variety, ideally they should have winter and summer menu: Only a summer and winter menu? Seems silly when there are 4 seasons in a year! You are clearly mistaken as components of our menus change every day. Trust us, ask our team. I have worked in hospitality and this is a must. This will definitely bring more customers to the restaurant: (Thanks for your service to the hospitality industry, but) we don’t know who you are or where you have worked, and frankly we don’t need to take advice from someone who very clearly doesn’t get or understand what we do, grazie.

Italian with a few enhancements

Anti pasta plate was delicious with slight twists on flavours. The salad was scattered with pickled fennel and green almonds the main pasta dish with meat was beautifully flavoured. Staff were lovely. Great atmosphere.

Wonderful service

We only booked in a few hours before, and were offered 6pm or 8pm. Chose 8pm as we'd had a very late lunch, but was concerned we'd be eating too late for us. Arrived at 8pm and had a shared entree of their 'pizza' which was like a focaccia. 4 small pieces but enough to whet our appetite. At 8.45pm our mains arrived which was great considering it was a busy Friday night. My husband had the pork sausage with pappardelle which was a very generous size and delicious. I had stuffed pasta tubes with pumpkin and ricotta in a butter and sage sauce. It was very nice but unusual in that the pasta was grilled so was crunchy. It was also a much smaller serving size. We also had dessert, me having a polenta cake and my husband the gelato, which was delicious. You won't find a menu online as it changes regularly. We'd return if we lived in the area.

Top Quality Produce and Lovely Staff.

I was really impressed with this Lovely restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were happy to accommodate a toddler and a raw vegan. All the food was greatly enjoyed. The Lettuce, Fennel, and Pomegranate Salad was one of the best salads I have eaten. All the ingredients were so fresh and of amazing quality. I like how the menu reflects what seasonal produce is available and good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Delicious!

From a menu of interesting dishes we chose two pasta dishes. The pasta was made freshly in-house - Murray cod ravioli and rigatoni with broad beans and asparagus - and both dishes were delicious, with delicate flavours and generous servings. The focaccia was also terrific and there was a good selection of local wines from which to choose. The old bank building was in great condition and a great space and the service was friendly and attentive. A great lunch!

A Pleasurable Dining Experience

Have just had the nicest lunch at Zecca. Its located in an atmospheric old building on a corner of Banna Ave. From reading the menu, the ingredients are seasonable. Each chose a pasta dish- ragu of meat & broccoli, chili & garlic, together with a salad of green leaves. The rose wine from Yarran was good too. I like the sourcing of local produce. Generous portions unfortunately left no room for dessert. The staff are so welcoming, knowledgable & attentive; they made our dining experience really pleasurable. There is also a selection of their dried pastas, sauces, relishes, nuts & Italian Cookbooks for sale too. Really enjoyed everything about Zecca!

Wonderful dining experience

Initially worried about the lack of an online menu, we took a punt and booked anyway. Wow! What an experience. The food was absolutely delicious. We were full with only two courses but could have sampled sampled more. The homemade pasta cannelloni filled with slow cooked meat and delicious sauce all topped with an equally flavoursome bechamel sauce has me salivating again as I write about this. The home made gelato was equally clean, pure flavour (without the normal sweet after taste). My only criticism is that the menu changes on a regular basis so it is unlikely that I'll be able to savour the same meal on my next visit to town. Ben, Michaela and Daniel have done an awesome job of setting up this restaurant. Note: this is not a cheap restaurant but I think it is excellent value for money for what is on offer. It is on my must do list for every visit to Griffith.

A genuine Italian restaurant featuring original Italian cuisine

This atmospheric restaurant in Griffith is located in the iconic Art Deco Rural Bank building that has been lovingly modified. The menu features genuine Italian, not tourist Italian and it uses seasonal and local produce wherever possible. Well worth a visit, but at busy times it can get very noisy - possibly some noise suppressing drapes could be considered. Would be more than happy to return, noise or no noise.

Very nice food with plenty

Very nice food with plenty of flavour. The pastas were all delicious. The cauliflower cannelloni were delicate and delicious and different to the tradition cannelloni you get. The Murray cod was very nice as was the porterhouse steak. Serves were very generous and unfortunately we couldn’t eat dessert as we were just too full. Loved the ambiance and service was great. We would definitely eat here again if we return to Griffith.

Very noisy restaurant. Hard to have a proper conversation on our anniversary

The food was good. Our entree was really good. We had the polenta with salted cod and zucchini. I had the stuffed pumpkin pasta. My partner had the porterhouse which he hadn’t actually ordered but rather than sending it back and waiting for what he really ordered which was the tortelloni, he ate it. It had quite a bit of fat on it. It was a very noisy restaurant which may have contributed to the waitress not hearing his order properly. Our dessert was very good. We shared a pan Acosta

Beautiful Home made food

When seeking Authentic Italian food, home made is a must. The philosophy of this restaurant is to nurture community with good, local produce, and share delicious recipes made from scratch. Also features locally made pastas for sale. Fantastic Ragu, enjoyed on a cold and rainy day. Bwe highly recommend.

Simple but Sensational Food

The old Bank has been done up beautifully and matches the simple tasty meals. The Minnestrone was fantastic. The Pasta served at tables around us had generous portions and looked scrumptuous.very modern compared to the others in Italian restaurants in town.
