Griffith has plenty of restaurants that serve great, classic, traditional Italian food. Limone is the fresh youngster on the block. We had gnocchi that was like soft pillows. Chicken and mushroom crepes that were heavenly. Fresh crispy salad from their farm - all matched with wines that are perfectly matched to the food menu.
Bravo!

Arrived on a Tuesday morning for brunch - delicious avocado and poached eggs on their own sourdough - superb. Great coffee too. Last day in Griffith but wish to return and visit this place again. Lovely atmosphere and the sample of food left me wanting more - a good sign

We are on holidays in the area and Limone was recommended to us by locals. We visited on spec for a casual lunch and were really impressed by the lovely staff, the delicious food and the beautiful surroundings. We returned for dinner another evening and were blown away by the interesting and delicious menu. The passion the young owner/chef has for creating beautiful dishes from locally sourced produce is commendable. He should be very proud of what he has achieved. We will definitely be back.

We were looking forward to breakfast at Limone this morning. Unfortunately we could not support a business advertising objection to the buy backs of water licences in the Murray Darling basin - this is inappropriate for a restaurant. Buy back of the existing over allocated amounts in water licences is the most effective and cheapest option in getting fair access for all basin water users especially lower darling and SA communities dependent on clean and adequate water. Restoring sustainable water use across the whole basin (and recognising that water use around Griffith has a role in this) is the best hope for the degraded basin. Limone should support fair access to water for all basin communities land not get drawn into the politics. Cathy

I really wish I could write a positive review as I was led to believe this was going to be a great evening meal. Unfortunately the reality did not match the hype. The venue was appealing and the staff pleasant but the food was ridiculously overpriced- potato donut, ravioli and steak were each under seasoned, bland and tasteless dishes served on cold plates. I am mystified as to why the restaurant receives such rave reviews.

We went to Limone for breakfast, it was 7am and actually quite busy already due to a lot of business people turning up for breakfast. The menu was perfect, and all four of us had delightful meals. The waitress was so attentive, I had asked for my eggs to be cooked in a certain way and when she brought the meals out she noticed that my breakfast wasn’t exactly how I ordered it, and insisted she take it back to be corrected! I was very impressed. Great fresh juice and coffee as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Very expensive for what you get. The Balmain bug starter is mostly mayonnaise and a tiny serve.
The food was also incredible salty and our sides of potatoes and asparagus were cold.
Can’t comment on the dessert as we didn’t stick around to try any.
The guy behind the bar was blowing his nose and then making drinks, not bothering to wash his hands. COVID
When charging capital city prices we expected more.

Food was delicious. People were friendly and accommodating having no booking. The pancakes were the fluffiest and the eggs devine. The family run and locally farmed sourced food made everything fresh and an establishment to be proud of

Had dinner here while on holiday in Griffith.
The food was very special and the wine list good - lots of local wines as well as from further afar.
The service was friendly and efficient and the space nicely set out.
Griffith is lucky to have a restaurant such as this.

This place was highly recommended by the Manager at the hotel so we made to the effort to visit.
Upon entry the staff (Manager perhaps) informed us the the restaurant was owned by farmers who made use of their own produce.
With this in mind we were keen to try some of the meals on offer. The menu itself had some pretty enticing options and I settled for the Pancakes with caramelised stone-fruit and yoghurt and my colleague ordered the breakfast bowl and a side of gluten free toast. This is where it went downhill.
The pancakes arrived and I was a little underwhelmed. For a country theme the size of the pancakes were more described as pikelets and there were 2 of them. The fruit was good as was the yogurt and candied walnuts. Normally I don't need a lunch after breakfast but I would be needing one now.
The breakfast bowl was ok and we never did get the glutenfree toast.
Overall I think we'll try somewhere else next time.

We were so looking forward to this early Christmas present lunch but alas, it disappointed on so many fronts. The hamburger patties and buns were dry, the pasta arrived floating in a sea of oil and the chicken crepe was bland. Something going under the name of bechamel sauce croquettes with pork tasted strange and pork free. We were left with that dreadful lingering taste of cold oil in our mouths. I won’t even start on the service………

In Melbourne you might rate Limone Dining only three or a little above but in this area it has to rate higher than average pub grub and some others around. To be fair the Murray Cod fish and chips was well done, and deserved the rating. Decor was pleasant and this was a good place for lunch, the wines interesting and well priced and overall a pleasant place and recommended.

Had breakfast here. Wish we hadn’t.
My partner had a very large hair wrapped around his bacon. Brought it to the waiter’s attention. He took it away. Forensic investigation occurred with the chef. (The chef with a big head of hair and a big bushy beard) And that was it.
Waiter came back and cleared our cups and glasses. He didn’t say a word.
No apology. No offer to cook another serve of bacon.
We paid. No offer to maybe not charge us for a coffee or anything.
We expected an apology from someone - but just to ignore their stuff up was very poor service.
Wouldn’t recommend Limone at all.

After several weeks of eating indifferent country Oz fare, Limone was a true standout. A proprietor who works like a skilled sommelier, a menu that is as much mod Oz as it is Italian. Quality foodstuffs both vegs and meats, cooked skilfully, with a distinct bias for regionality. The farmed Murray cod was a standout! We went for the à la carte menu instead of dégustation and we still ordered many extra dishes just so we could a grand bouffe ofeven more delicacies. As the Michelin Guide judges would praise "worth a detour."

Each dish was divine, inventive, and something to take your time and talk about. Service fantastic, atmosphere unique. Don't go past or near Griffith without enjoying Limone. Recommend book well ahead!
