We went there following TA. The place is really nice, just a bit outside the busy lanes, so calmer and really well set up, spacious. The food like we would have it in Italy. The pizza really delicious, its crust, the topping, the mozzarella, wow....More

Tokenistic italian eatery, menu reads better than reality ( eg spaghetti with ‘pippies’ and “bottarga” may well have aimed for pasta vongole but falls short). Calamari were straight out of a frozen squid factory, pizzas were overly cheesy, and bill came to $200 for 3...More

Good morning Alan. The front dining area is, but unfortunately the toilets aren't. There are two steps to get there. The restaurant is in a old building.

WHO WE ARE: Basiloco is the result of the dream of one Italian familie originally from Sardinia, who moved to beautiful Byron Bay. Our mission is to bring to Byron Bay an original Italian kitchen, with dishes inspired by the beautiful region of Sardinia! Before you place your order beware of these peculiarities of our dishes. WE KEEP IT SIMPLE! We like simple things and tastes, we love to savour every single ingredient of a plate and to enjoy the way they combine with each other. We offer you good portions of fresh simple food. In a word REAL food. REAL MEANING OF "AL DENTE" Our pasta is served al dente, al dente means "to the tooth", because the centre is a bit hard. However, we understand it may not suit everybody's taste, so if you advice our friendly staff, we will be more than happy to cook your pasta a bit more. We do SLOW FOOD as quick as we can. Time is very precious in todays busy world, and we try to do our best to be quick. Our dishes are prepared at the moment, and require just the right amount of time to be prepared or cooked properly. Especially in busy days, the wait may be a bit longer than usual. If you are ready to relax, and enjoy your time with your guests, we promise your patience will be rewarded. Tips for a faster service in busy nights. Pizzas come out faster! Drink more wine while you wait !! ABOUT OUR WOOD FIRED PIZZAS Our slow rising dough is made with the best Italian flours to reach the right texture to be hand stretched. We then top them with the best quality local products we can find. The result is a thin crusted pizza, very light and crispy. Beware that our product is HAND MADE, every pizza is slightly different to the other and crispiness is influenced by air humidity and weather conditions! Those who deliver a perfectly identical product every day of the year, load you pizzas with harsh chemicals, so enjoy imperfections! Much love Basiloco Team "Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it." - Salvador Dalí-
