Revisited Ember for first time since it changed its name and menu, very impressive! Smaller menu and focus on steaks is a great move, all the food we had was a step up from last visit. Great venue for taking visitors to Byron

Great space with great food and atmosphere. Service was on point and staff friendly and professional Portion sizing was good! Which is rare in Byron. Hopefully they do breakfast soon 😊

The steak (scotch fillet) and pork ribs were perfect! Chocolate fondant a perfect way to end the meal. Service was excellent throughout and the balcony was beautiful (fairy lights, overlooking Johnson street). We wanted to go again the next day but had to leave Byron!...We will be back!More

Ordered the following: - garlic bread - crab and moreton bay bug cakes - 2x rump steaks med rare (plus mash, polenta cakes and pear and rocket salad) - 2 kids nuggets - 1 x burger - couple cocktails and other drinks Crab and bug...cakes were tasteless… would not recommend, bland flavors and little seafood to be tasted Both steaks were over cooked, medium to well, no pink to be seen anywhere! Also for fire cooked, little in the way of any smoke flavor in the meat… I get more flavor of my Weber! Also marble of 7… was still dry as, seriously doubt that! Kids meals were cheap, but frozen nuggets cmon, that’s lazy! I’d rather pay more for some proper food! Maybe the chef was away, I don’t know… but definitely not worth going back again!More

Absolutely amazing! Owner and Head Chef Troy Lister knows how to prepare culinary delights! I had the slow cooked Beef cheeks that melted in my mouth! The side of veg was delicious. My husband had the Porter house steak that was juicy , tender and...full of flavour. The desert was Chocolate Fondant that just oozed deliciousness! The cool breeze and view on the veranda was pleasant. Charming wait staff and a week run restaurant . Years of experience obviously pays off . Well done . Can't wait to return.More
