Inventive vegetarian food prettily plated in a pleasant setting. We had the Valentine’s Day set menu. It was delicious, pretty food with lots of flavor and nuances. Perfectly deep fried zucchini squash flowers, a beet dish that went perfectly with crusty bread, olive oil & balsamic. I made the mistake of not going gluten free for the pasta main dish and it sat quite heavily in my stomach and wasn’t outstanding. The dessert was chocolate that was more of a ganache slice than a chocolate cake. It was GF and served with fresh cream and strawberries - not too sweet as desserts can be. The staff were really busy yet still very nice. The outdoor tables are pleasant. It’s a relaxed setting to eat elevated vegetarian food. I’d like to return for lunch & also to try the regular dinner menu.

I was put off by other reviews of poor service, but the restaurant must have taken note, because the service by all staff was outstanding. They were all friendly, charming and very helpful, yet, giving us space to enjoy our evening. The food was absolutely delicious, and definitely worth adventuring into the vegan world, even if you eat meat! Best of all was the biodynamic red wine, that was one of the best wines we've ever tasted! You will have a wonderful evening. The ambience is also lovely. Spacious, yet intimate, with great music, not too loud, so we could enjoy talking to each other.

This restaurant was excellent. It's not a romantic location but very comfortable and not too noisy which meant we could have a great conversation. Service was efficient, charming and friendly. The food was inventive and delicious, and it was healthily and sustainably vegan! A number of dishes tasted like meat and fish...without the harm to the planet or our own well being. Try the knjac calamari and the prawn tacos, the shitake mushrooms and delicious carrots! Highly recommended. We will be back:)

Went to this restaurant twice as I so wanted it to be wonderful. The menu was really interesting and the food was tasty when it eventually arrived but the execution was poor. They had run out of many items (from beer to menu options to coasters), 4 small plates took over 90 minutes to arrive and at the end they presented us with the wrong bill.

I'm compelled to write this review after the restaurant recently featured on Travel Guides. My friend and I dined as a special occasion and based on the TV coverage. The night we dined the place was a buzz with others talking about the TV show so it seemed we'd all come to check it out. We ordered a shared entre, two mains, a cocktail and glass of sparkling and the bill came to $125. I wouldn't mind paying if any of the food or drinks were actually good. Our entre of Mac n Cheese was overpowering with the taste of garlic. We're both garlic lovers but this night, it was too much, so much so that neither of us could taste any other flavours. My friend had the ravioli which was nice, well cooked and a pleasant flavour, not amazing but tasty. I ordered the sesame noodles which tasted like ginger and nothing else. The flavour was so overpowering again, just a mouthful of the strongest ginger flavour and through the noodles, beans and salad greens. After 10 minutes trying to find something in the dish that I could eat, I sent it back to the kitchen, I just couldn't eat it. I felt terrible doing so but have to stay our waiter was very obliging and offered another dish. Other than food, our drinks were pretty average. My friend's cocktail tasted very mild, like their wasn't much of an alcoholic hit to it.

Perhaps we were naive, but we thought that a restaurant which advertised itself as providing ‘good food for meat eaters and vegans alike’ and referred to calamari, duck, beef burger and chicken on its menu served meat as well as vegan food. But it was not to be, and the food here convinced me I’ll never want to be a vegan. When we discovered our mistake and were deciding whether to go elsewhere, a customer told us he wasn’t a vegan was enjoying his beef burger - so we capitulated. The beef burger I ordered certainly didn’t seem like the real thing and was very disappointing - as was everything else the three of us ordered. So I’ll never try vegan food again and, if you like meat fish, etc as I do, I’d recommend avoiding this restaurant

So affordable, great atmosphere and the food is brilliant! Both my husband and I were so happy with our meal at No Bones tonight & neither of us are vegan or even vegetarian. We had their famous vegan calamari, the corn salsa and the Kung pow cauliflower plus a happy hour cocktail. Everything tasted so good & was surprisingly filling! The staff were so friendly & the whole place has a great cosy, romantic vibe to it - low lighting, very cool. Also it was super warm under the heaters even on a cold night in winter. We were so full from dinner but couldn’t pass up dessert so we went for a walk then came back for take away churros. Yum!! Thanks guys 😊 I highly recommend 👌

Despite being a bit of meat eater, we ventured to No Bones based on the strong recommendation of some friends as well positive experiences at a similar restaurant in Sydney. The restaurant was very buzzy and had a nice atmosphere. We shared several dishes including Duck Bao, Fried Chicken, Truffle Fries and a salad. All were excellent though we probably under ordered by a dish. Once ordered food came out very quickly (actually before the drinks which is a pet hate) but they did follow swiftly). Everything was tasty and enjoyable.

No Bones has an entirely vegan menu which is utterly delicious. Just a few niggles though- all our food arrived at once (except one dish which was forgotten..) We had asked for the food to be brought out as starters first, then the mains. The cocktails were really cool. Nice touch that the barman makes a 'special' cocktail each day. The setting is cosy and cool. The majority of the tables are small and circular which means it can be a squeeze for the food and drinks to fit on comfortably. Would recommend the duck pancakes and the burger. Very tasty!

Upmarket & very pricey vegan restaurant. The food was fantastic. We ordered the corn ribs & the gnocchi, both were big servings & memorable dishes. Our vegan affogato dessert missed the mark though. Nice spacious modern décor restaurant with great ambiance & vibe with lovely background music. Very well presented. Staff were very attentive & courteous. Unfortunately, the QR code ordering app didn’t work due to the very weak mobile connection, which wasted a lot of our time & frustrated us. Hence, the staff had to take our order. Then they told us the olive starter dish was not available. The service of the meals were too slow. Probably 20 mins for the starter & another 30 mins for the mains. Also, we were told we couldn’t drink the wine we brought as they were not BYO. Therefore, we had to spend $65 for the cheapest bottle of wine on their menu! Wine & cocktails did seem rather expensive here. Sadly this is more of a special occasion restaurant. Once is enough for us at the prices they are charging for food & drinks. However, everybody should try some of this beautifully prepared vegan food at least once.

I’m not a vegan - but if all vegan food tasted this good I’d convert in a heart beat. I have no idea how they do it... but they make plant-based magic. We loved the calamari, the duck bao, the satay prawn salad and the wine list... it was busy on a Sunday night but service was great and very friendly. Do yo’self a favour! If you don’t tell the meat eaters they’ll never even know.

This was by far the best meal we had in Byron Bay. Its not cheap but we thought the food was fantastic, imaginative and tasty. If you are prepared to be open minded about what you eat then its worth a try. if you really wanted spare ribs then try somewhere where they serve spare ribs. We had 3 small plates (Watermelon Tuna Tatare-excellent, fried Konac calamari -excellent and grilled broccoli and sprouts-tasty but could make it at home) and the burgers (2 small veg burgers inn buns with substitute cheese). With the olives this was more than enough but we did manage to fit in the ice cream Ferro Rocher which was also delicious. Service was great and very friendly.they asked whether we wanted everything together or spread out. We chose the latter and they brought the plates at just the right intervals. Staff knew their product and were able to explain the content of thedifferent dishes.

Went here last night and I was very impressed. Very good, flavoursome vegan food. Went with two meat eaters who were very impressed with the quality of the food. We shared the calamari, taco’s, Brussels sprouts, seitan skewers, such pancakes and the cauliflower main and they all tasted delicious. Had a couple of cocktails each and a bottle of wine. Moderately priced- great as a treat or date night. Staff attentive and friendly. Would absolutely recommend.

Please try this place! Everything from the service and ambiance to the food is just sensational and there is nothing I can fault. The food is incredible- you wouldn’t know you were eating vegan if you weren’t told in advance. The chef deserves an award for making vegan food so delicious. My husband is a massive meat eater and was left very impressed... the flavours work brilliantly. The chicken and bao buns are my recommendation.

Visited with my husband, I’m vegetarian, he’s not. Had to try hard to persuade him to come with me but he ended up saying it was the best meal he’d had all holiday and that he would turn began if he could eat like that all of the time! We had the tasting menu which was perfect, a good way to try lots of things if you’re unsure what to go for, good value and the perfect amount of food All perfectly presented and great service.
