We were recommended Fishmongers as the best fish and chips in Byron. Can't vouch for that as we didn't try any others but it was OK. What is different about this place is the unique menu, not your average fish and chippery. It has meals made up on a menu more like a restaurant rather than just choosing your own... More

Pretty good food but very expensive and over rated in our opinion. The cost does not meet expectations

My first choice to eat while in Byron Bay. The best grilled fish and the chips are the best. Can never get enough.

Wanted tasty fish and chips. We found a winner. Tempura battered fish fillets. Hand cut chips. Best for a long time.

Have eaten here a dozen times- fish is always tasty and cooked well- you choose the fish you would like then the accompainment-either sweet potato and potato chips- which are a rather large portion or pesto corn and salad or tempura vegies or rice- my pick would be the corn and salad. It is a tad expensive- for what you... More

Really good food in a friendly, relaxed setting. Broad menu has plenty of options to suit everyone, including lots of healthy choices too! Waitress was knowledgable and attentive, and the food spoke for itself. Personal favourites were the prawns and one of the specials of the day - local snapper in a coconut, chilli and lime marinade. Thoroughly recommend checking... More

Food was really tasty! And it was quite big. I couldn't have it all! A fish with salad and best thing ever: crispy sweet potato! The only bad thing is that it's located at a small street with no ocean view. Still worth it!

AVOID. Ordered fish and chips. Small bowl of mushy chips topped with 2 thin, small slices of greasy poorly fried fish with skin on. Table was sticky. Partner ordered some hoki. 2 ridiculously small cubes of fish I'm rearlly curious why they serve food in ridiculously sized miniature BOWLS when fried food requires space to drain off the grease. This way,... More

I went to Fishmongers the first tome a year ago. I had the Byron Box and loved it. In a year time I had the chance to try most of the menu: the tacos(only for lunch) is very colorful, crunchy and easy to share with someone! The grilled king prawns are to die for: they're absolutely delicious. Another highlight goes to... More
