Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

When driving north from Sydney, the Myalla Cafe is a great little stopping point when you need a break. It’s about 3 hours from Sydney and is only a minute off the highway, at the riverside town of Bulahdelah. The breakfast menu has a fairly...conventional list of offerings (see photo below). We had the Bulahdelah Big Breakfast. It certainly loved up to its name and was big enough for two of us to share. It included two eggs, bacon, mushrooms, two sausages, fried tomato, a hash brown and chunky, buttery toast. The eggs were done to order and they cooked them beautifully runny, exactly as we’d asked. For $21.90, it was excellent value and hot the spot. The coffee was good and the tea was served in a pot. The cafe is housed inside a small cottage and has an old-world charm. There are several dining rooms and a number of outdoor tables in the front garden area and around the patio. There were a couple of glitches. Our sausages were left off the breakfast (but were cooked up freshly as soon as we asked) and some of the china (the milk jug and my teacup) had chips. A little off-putting but not a deal breaker. Overall, this is a charming small town local cafe and we would go back again.More

Excellent coffee And hot chocolate for my hubby. It was hard to choose between scones and Lumberjack Jack Cake. - I went with the cake because it looked divine - and it was. We will stop here on our travels up north again. It is...close to the highway. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. We loved itMore

Gorgeous little cafe in an old house on the main of town. Food was delicious, tasted fresh, and generous sized servings. Service was friendly, welcoming, and fast. Definitely worth the stop for a good feed and a coffee.

Lucky to have found this cafe open on a Public Holiday when all other options up the highway were deep fried greasy food and not at all appealing. The sandwiches at Myalla Magic are generous and delicious. Coffee is great and staff are friendly. Worth...a visitMore

Love the salad sandwiches here and the milkshakes. One sandwich is more than enough. At other places I might order two sandwiches. Also has toilet facilities. Perfect place to break your journey.

This cafe is a beautiful old house that has been converted into a very welcoming cafe. The service was spot on considering they were busy over Easter, the coffee and bacon and egg roll delicious. Will definitely go there again next road trip south and...the rest rooms clean and I appreciate the fact that there is a seperate woman’s space!More

This is always my “Must stop and enjoy” start to any trip from Sydney north. The ambience is only surpassed by the happy, courteous staff and wonderful menu choices. Don’t forget to feed the gorgeous sparrows that flit in and out of the garden hedges...and keep an eye out for the water dragons that have made Myalla home. Friendly dogs are welcome and there is an abundance of water dishes to refresh your fur baby as well.More
