Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I don't understand the dud reviews. The curry pie is great unless you were expecting some bland Clive of India type curry. Great pastry, no gristle in the meat and a real curry spice mix in use. My wife, originally from Adelaide had the vege...pastie, which she was very happy with. She previously claimed it was impossible to get a decent pastie outside of SA. We were there the first time on a friday at 1100, they were packed. Service was efficient. Our next visit, today, Saturday at 1200, it was packed, service was efficient.More

The staff member was rude and obnoxious from the moment we entered the store, totally not interested in serving, wouldn’t listen, gave us wrong items and deliberately overcharged us. The cakes were dry and taste less. Flies on the bread. Will not buy anything again...from them and we are locals.More

Have been stopping here for years for their famous curry pie. Let me tell you the curry pie we had on the 1 September was very average. Too much curry. Disappointing as is their customer service.

Keep driving. Purchased 3 pies which were on the smaller side and barely ok, the curry pie tasted like the lid had come off the spice bottle and it had all fallen into the mixture - not pleasant at all. Worst though was the large...sponge cake with icing, jam and cream that was dry, stale and had probably been sitting in the cabinet for at least 2-3 days. Quality of the product was terrible and food was overpriced with poor customer service. Don’t waste your time or money.More

The bread is great, the pies a little on the dry side but the flavour is great. The family pies are very, very expensive. I feel the packaging of the sweet pastries could be better than a paper bag as they get squashed.

Great food. Pies are best. Vanilla slice has changed. What happened to good old passion fruit icing. Staff today was quite rude. I hope you are smiling under that face mask because we visited on the way up and back and both times had the...same staff member who we found to be unwelcoming and everything was too much trouble for her.More

This bakery is great we were told, sadly that is not so. The pie was average at best & was full of jelly like sauce with minimal meat. There is a large selection of sweets, however no fresh cream is used in any. This is...not a bakery I would go out of my way to stop at.More

Omg YUM. Always worth the stop when on the M1. Their sweet baked goods are 10/10. Gluten free options are fantastic.

On the northern Stroud St shopping block end, you might see a line forming outside the Bulahdelah Bakery. The shop is little more than a hole in the wall but don’t be fooled, this is a great collection of bread, pastries and very-very good pies...and sausage rolls. PS. The term ‘great coffee’ is somewhat overused but the café next door really does have it.More

This bakery was super busy as lots of people are on summer holiday driving somewhere or another is included. We didn’t want to stop at the usual service centres on the highway and pulled off into Buladelah. The pies we had were okay. Cakes didn’t...look very appealing and couldn’t believe they used mock cream in their lamingtons.More
