Had dinner here with colleagues and was just great. Good was beautiful (although my steak was a bit overcooked :( ), and house wine was great. Staff were friendly locals and very efficient. Decor inside and out was intriguing. Definitely would go here again

New to Bourke town going to try all the motels in Bourke town. This was disappointing. Spent the night in a room that was very old with paint falling off ceiling. The room had a bed, wardrobe, chair, a broken shelf and a sink. The...More

Very busy pub; large dining area under verandah at the back. The steaks were excellent. Bar service was friendly and fast.

You look at the board and go, "holy $%*#!". Then you put that first mouthful of steak into your mouth and go , "HOLY $%*#!!!!!" It's worth every cent. Top cuts of meat, superbly cooked. A great selection of salads and cooked veggies etc. that...More

Fantastic Steak, cooked to perfection. Bistro is in a kind of indoor/outdoor area and your meal is cooked pretty much in front of you. There is a good selection of salads but I had the veggies that are a self sleeve arrangement. As far as...More

Great little pub, Barman looked bored to death and could hardly raise a ‘gday’ out of him. Had the best steak however and would highly recommend the food!! If you like good meat, this is the place! We will be back!!

A great old style Hotel, a quiet lunch, food is fantastic we thought we'd go back for dinner. A few more people, but dinner was awesome, choose your meat and it is cooked for you, add some salad or veges from the salad bar...And yes...More

This must have been a big popular crowded hotel once but is now a relic of times gone by. Dining room was large but spartan. Food was good and value for money.

The kids playground is fabulous, set along a nice shaded area near the bistro. It was good to be able to relax and grab a beer and a feed while the kids were kept entertained.

The steak was cooked to perfection. Vegetable bar is great also. The air con worked well. This place can get busy as it appear that a lot of workers in town have dinner here. The only reason why I’m not giving Port Of Bourke 5...More

In the Hotel foyer and main bar, we have tried to capture the spirit of those halcyon days when Bourke was a busy port, woolgrowers were prosperous and the labor movement was stirring in Bourke. Elsewhere the hotel is contemporary, reminding ourselves that Bourke has modern, colourful rural industries operated by real people. The Hotel began its life as "The Royal" in 1863. It was then renamed the "Old Royal Hotel" and took on a heritage flavour, and it had a major facelift in 1993 before its renaming and re-energising as "The Port of Bourke Hotel" in July 1997. * Country style accommodation at the hotel is available all year. * Counter meals are available 7 days a week 12-2pm. * The bistro is open Monday to Saturday 6.30-8.30pm. * The restaurant facilities are also available for private functions. * Secure parking facilities are available. * There is a modern bar and well grassed beer garden to enjoy a drink in air-conditioning or the shade. * Kids playground in the beer garden
