We decided to take a break from the highway on a trip back from Canberra. We found this great little cafe that reflects the charm and character of the southern highlands. Food and service were good and staff friendly. Nice find.

Driving back from Canberra with a colleague we stopped here late afternoon needing a cuppa. They had an amazing lemon remoulade which was gluten free. Couldn’t miss out and enjoyed it and the charming atmosphere with real roses on tables and beautiful china cups.
We love going to the Magpie Cafe, it has fantastic fresh and tasty food all the time. The staff have been the same forever which is always a good indicator of a sound business.
Anybody visiting the Southern Highlands must go to the Magpie Restaurant in Berrima, the breakfast yesterday was amazing.

This is a relatively quiet sort of town and Magpie Cafe is a relatively quiet sort of cafe. The food is nicely varied and the tea and coffee are excellent as is the service.
