Really disappointing meal here and the cost is extremely high for what you get - much prefer ROCK INN which is superb. This is a basic restaurant charging high prices for poor quality food

We visit Cornwall on a regular basis, on average 5-6 times a year. The N.1 Rock place was recommended to us by always friendly staff at The waterfront in Polzeath. Over the years we have had collected many good memories from The Waterfront so we did not hesitate to follow their recommendation. We booked the table for 2 over the... More

I have visited many restaurants around the world and this may have taken the prize of the Worst Restaurant I have ever been in. We visited for a lovely Sunday lunch, as it was the first restaurant we came to when you get off the ferry. The meal started ok - great view and table outside in the sun. But... More

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years and always liked it enough to return. This time there was a demonstrable decrease in quality, though. The starters were reasonable, though portions of soup were very small. We used to receive freshly baked bread rolls, but these have been replaced with toast (made from cheap sliced white bread). No... More

We visited for a family lunch to end our holiday. Lovely decor and views from the balcony. The staff are so accommodating and the food is to die for. Biggest ploughman's we have ever seen! I had a beef open sandwich and it was so tender! Nice big portions at very good prices. Will be going back every year.

Nipped in here for a quick late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The Sunday menu is excellent value offering 1 course for £10, 2 for £15, and 3 for £20. The options on offer were varied and very tasty - had a lovely fresh grilled Mackerel, with my wife going for Truffle Arancini, both were excellent! Service was good, wine... More

Took 3 attempts before we could secure a booking, which shows how popular this lovely restaurant is! When we finally made the reservation, we were not disappointed, all dishes were beautifully served and very tasty. We moved to the balcony for dessert as it was a beautiful evening and enjoyed the views whilst savouring delicious cheesecake and coffee. Will definitely... More

Me and my partner were staying in Padstow and got the water ferry across the estuary. (About £2 each) right off the stop is the restaurant No1 Rock Road Bar & Grill. Outside the front is a lovely balcony with tables offering beautiful views of Padstow and the estuary. We opted for cocktails to start and they were delicious and... More

The setting was great, the view lovely and the restaurant comfortable. 4 of us dined here last weekend and had a wonderful meal. I had the Brill and it was truly superb. The service was friendly and attentive without being OTT. The scallop starter was also excellent, as were the between-course 'tasters'. I also had the Sticky Toffee pudding for... More
