we have a carvery here every now and again and have always had a good meal, the service was a bit slow this time as the place was very busy and there only seemed to be three waitresses around, the meal was excellent as usual but this time the trifle was very runny we were offered a fresh one but... Visited here with a friend last month (Feb) for a Sunday Roast. It is a lovely big restaurant, very spacious, clean, with friendly Staff. However, as I'm vegetarian, they don't have Vegetarian meals all ready cooked, so you have to order it as you go in at the door. Then you will have to wait for it to be cooked,... More

Cannot fault our visit to this pub last Sunday. Excellent carvery - one of the best in Cornwall that we have visited. Efficient service, especially considering how busy they were. Great selection of desserts. All very reasonably priced. Excellent.

It is what it is. If you really enjoy food and want a special occasion, you wouldn't eat here. If you're not bothered and just want something to eat, it's probably Ok. Carvery is not my thing. Queuing up for overcooked food is too reminiscent of school dinners, and about as tasty. The craze for carvery is a mystery to... More

Have just returned home from a great Xmas works lunch. Had the carvery which was very hot and plentiful, everything perfectly cooked.( If there is one criticism it would be the beef which was well done and I prefer mine pink) Chocolate gateau was very chocolaty and very tasty. Overall I would recommend to all my friends and family
