Visited twice during our holiday as dogs aren't just welcomed but out number people! It's a little higgledy-piggle to find your way in, multiple gardens, and bits to the pub (even an upstairs) but very welcoming and helpful and rectified a menu issue without any problems. A little clarity and direction could make this place special.

On a recent visit to Par, this is one of our favorites. The carvery is lovely and great value. Staff and friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back!

Locals pub. Don't like outsiders .had to order food and drinks over the heads of the locals sitting at the bar .not to worry I'll take my business elsewhere.

Had table booked and the service was quick at the bar and the carvery, we probably just beat the rush as it did get busy, so you may be unlucky if you call at a popular time, very nice food, was hot and plenty of choice. It is a bit cramped for space but dogs on leads are welcome which... More

Fantastic food - superb homemade comfort. Great price and the new owners have done wonders with the place. Will return for more crumble and custard very soon!

I have been to this pub many times, the carvery is usually very nice. Today we were told we couldn`t have a carvery because we hadn`t booked. This is ridiculous, there were loads of tables outside. The garden was looking very overgrown and tired, the grass looked untidy. I won`t bother going there again.

A group of 23 of us walked in the area and pre-booked our lunches for a set time. When we arrived, the service was adequate but a bit confused. The meals arrived so far apart that some had finished before the last meals arrived and they forgot 2 of the meals. When they came, they were average, but not great.... More
