Met friends for coffee and a catch up. Just as I remembered it with good choice of hot drinks in a great location. Make a point of visiting when I'm in the area.

Live locally so drop in when walking dogs on their trails or nearby. Have always been more than happy with choice of veggie food, drinks, service, opportunity to sit inside or out. Some lovely dog walks (eg over to Widemouth Bay) and leaflets on routes available for those not familiar with the area. Not needed personally but all-terrain buggies can... More

Warm, welcoming, comfortable with good food and hot coffee. We enjoyed yet another visit to the Weir. Thought I'd try the burger ( not something I usually go for) and was very pleased with my choice. More than enough for me. Quality burger from Warrens with yummy bap and relish, bacon. Shared my chips with hubbie because there were too... More

Yesterday we walked from a very cold and very windy Bude up the canal to The Weir. On arriving we sat in front of the roaring log burner and ate a lovely cooked breakfast followed by toast and marmalade. A lovely big pot of tea. The food was all hot and well cooked. Quality sausages. Even the granary bread was... More

We visited on a day in mid January and despite the cold weather the wildlife here was beautiful. The weir can get quite busy as it is very popular. Their lunch menu is great with vegetarian and vegan options plus there is a special board which changes everyday. In the summer they offer cream teas outside by the pond as... More

The surroundings are comfortable however the piped pop music we felt was intrusive. It would have been better to have had some music that might be more generally accessible. The intrusion of the music rather set the tone. The food was average.... having said that I would recommend the homity pie. Mum's tomato and bacon soup far too thick. Gammon... More

All of our food is cooked in our kitchens using only fresh ingredients sourced from the best local suppliers. The freshness of the food is matched by the stunning interior of the restaurant with its fully glazed facade offering sweeping views down to the fishing lake. Top Cornish breakfast served daily til noon, lunch or supper at affordable prices from our varied menu with vegetarian and gluten free options throughout. Serving freshly ground coffees artisan teas and mouth-watering slices of cake. You can choose to eat in our garden or patio area or in front of our real log fire during those colder months here on the North Coast of Cornwall. We also have heaters on the terrace for those cold but bright days.
