Busy, but Managed to get a table for 10 people. Food tasted fresh and arrived a lot quicker than I expected. For a tourist location prices were not too high. Well done.

We went during the summer holidays, and it was VERY busy. The Bowgie's Car Park was full, so we had to pay for parking next to the pub. Contiuing on with the pub, we had to split up our party, so we could find a...More

Where to begin? Pub itself is dated from the outside and inside, plus it's far from the cleanest pub as well. My partner and I went to the Bowgie originally for a roast dinner on a Sunday as the general menus stated all food including...More

Great place to eat or have a drink. Menu is pretty standard. All seemed fresh and well presented. The views are stunning and turn an average pub into a good pub.

Nice enough place but food overpriced for pub grub. Specials might be better but I didn't think it was great. Seemed basic and my Gammon was a little overcooked Food arrived quickly and I think the place would be good for families. Nice views but...More

This pub is on the headland and so has great views over the beach and the ocean. There is a big outside space, and the pub itself is cavernous, maybe because of this the food suffers and is usual pub grub, but quite expensive for...More

The food here is of a very poor quality. Some people are happy with deep fried and warmed up microwaved rubbish. Good quality, freshly prepared local food is what I like and the Bowgie does not provide this. The food... More

Yes the food is rubbish and dominated by warmed up and microwaved crap. Looking at the comments there are more complaints than you would usually expect and the food standards agency have rated them as a 2 for food hygiene... More

Very poor food - if you read through the reviews there is a trend of poor food. Deep fat fried food is sometimes passable by some but generally the food is poor as is the food hygiene rating of 2 (improvement necessary).
