We enjoyed stopping for coffee at this clean and well-run small business which was well-stocked with a diverse array of local produce for one's own use or as take-home gifts.. Apart from the cafe area being a bit stuffy (only needed a window opening) it was impressively good.

We visited Hilltop Farm Shop before it changed hands and found it to be friendly and welcoming, with a delicious menu of freshly-prepard produce. It was always difficult to get a table on a Sunday, due to its popularity, and it always seemed to be full at other times. We have visited three times under the new management, believing that... Stop in here whenever in the area. Lovely warm welcome. Great cakes and the savouries look inviting too. Lots of veggie and gluten free options. Offers a well stocked small shop too. Pretty views from outside area if you have a warm coat for April. Recommended

We have eaten here several times over the last year, including several Sunday Lunches, all of which which have been excellent. Unfortunately yesterday the meal did not live up to expectations. Several in our party opted for the Roast Beef, there wasnt much of it and was very overcooked and grey, so much so that it crumbled on cutting, my... More

Went had been here before for Sunday Lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it as did the others that were there eating as it was very busy. So we thought we would go again but un-fortunately this time the meal was very disappointing. Most of us went for the roast beef as it was a farm shop the beef should have been... More

Have been going to Hilltop for nearly 4 years on a regular basis also taking friends and family when they are down visiting. It has been taken over and was told they were not changing anything except they have changed everything and it is not all for the better. First time we went the portion was small, I thought I... Very sorry you are dissapointed with the changes we have made to Hilltop,as you have been coming for so long you will have seen many changes in that time, obviously the biggest when it changed from a tea room to a full blown cafe/restaurant.as with any changes they wont be to the liking of everyone unfortunately. As far as the menu... More

Found by chance on a sunday drive, lovely Cornish food shop with a fantastic little café on the side. Beautiful cakes and a vast menu for a small place. Had a cream tea and bought a few goodies in the shop.

A group of 12 of us had walked in the area and came in for lunch. We ordered a variety of meals - jacket potatoes, sandwiches etc and drinks. The service was friendly and quite efficient, but they did forget to do one meal, which they did eventually. We all enjoyed our meals, but as we had 2 tables (with... More

Im pleased to here you enjoyed your experience generally at Hilltop. I can only apologise for the delay with the one meal , but must also say when that quantity of meals are ordered they will not all come out together as we are only small and nearly all our food is cooked fresh. We do hope you come and... More

I visited this fantastic cafe for an afternoon coffee with friends. What a great find! A selection of fresh home made cakes and snacks including scrumptious scones to make a gorgeous cream tea. Its dog friendly too! The little farm shop has an array of locally produced food and drinks. The biggest challenge is what delicious goodies to choose.
