In addition to having a decent pub, the restaurant is also a very good alternative in Teddington. Food and service was very good. They also have a good selection of beer.

Very poor service from some, but not all staff. The food was warm, over salted, inedible sirloin steak. Brake Brothers does better. Staff need training on how to serve food correctly and not reach over a customer to slap down a plate of food. My...More

I chose the 'Shetland mussels' (Mariniere) as a Starter ~ these were probably the best I have ever had! Cooked to perfection and truly excellent. Mains we chose were 'Suckling Pig', Duck x2, and Boeuf Bourguignon (unusually, this was served with the meat in one...More

We went here for a late Sunday afternoon. My husband has roast beef which he loved apart from watery gravy. My Mediterranean salad was nice but too small if you are hungry and also for the price.

A chance visit on a busy Sunday lunchtime - but luckily it was sunny and the tables outside were available. Now, paying £14.50 for a roast (beef, as it happens) doesn't necessarily ensure a perfect meal...but on this occasion, at this pub, it did. Delicious,...More

Description
This is very much a Victorian purpose built pub, but its roots are somewhat older. The original Teddington King's Head dates back to 1689, the time of William III. Maybe it's the history of the building that gives the pub its appeal or it could be Polly and her team who are undeniably charming, attentive and professional that make you want to come back time and time again.

Our regulars love us for the informality and cosiness of the King's, we have a large pewter bar, inviting snugs, three separate rooms, open fireplaces and a wonderful walled patio at the back (with our own fruiting grape vine).

Our open kitchen shows we are as serious about our food as we are about our ales and our wines - the menu features French brasserie dishes with an English pub twist with everything cooked fresh on the premises.
