Nice English Breakfast in T2 In December, we had more time on our hands, prior to our flight back to the USA, than we had planned on - everything went just perfectly, so after Security, we headed to The Gorgeous Kitchen, in the hub of...the airside of Terminal 2. We were seated near the railing, overlooking the terminal below, or out of the large windows, at the tarmac. We quickly had the menu, and had made our decisions for breakfast, and also for wines, the Chapel Downs English Rose sparkler. I went with the English Breakfast, and my wife, a Cold-smoked Salmon w/ Scrambled Eggs. Both dishes were quite good, and I am glad that I did not “upgrade” to the TGR Breakfast, as I had more than enough to eat, as it was. Each item was very good, and that for both dishes. The service was also very good, at quite attentive, and we wanted for nothing. While not the least expensive of dining in T2, I felt that it was a good value, and was surprised a bit, at how well-prepared the food was, given that it was an airport restaurant. We will be back, and not just for the attractive and convenient venue, but also for the food.More

Walked in for some dinner just before the world stopped! I have finally found the chance to write this review after my partner and myself remember what a disaster this place was. We walked in just before 20:00 and the place was dead was shown...to a table by the window and the place had a chilled vibe to it ordered a very expensive mediocre glass of wine from our waiter who was the highlight of the dinner as he was polite and checked to see if we had a nice tome throughout the time we spent in this place. All good until the gunk that’s is passed for food arrived! We ordered the soup and salmon for starters both portions minimal and no flavours very badly seasoned by a chef that obviously has no passion for his food and is tasting before he sends plates out. We thought maybe the mains could save the day but what came next was the TGK burger (puke) a crusty almost charcoaled bun with an equally burnt party of the Tesco everyday quality with half a slice of cheese and some chips that they somehow managed to undercook! All off this cost us almost 90 quid. We felt sorry for the serving staff as they had to receive our sarcastic comments in the quality of the food. The person serving us said he would pass the feedback on to his manager who never appeared (probably embarrassed from the outrageous price they charge for food that my 10 year old son can probably do a better job cooking).More

Tucked away behind other restaurants after security in Terminal 2, you can watch the planes land, taxi and take off through the windows. We were welcomed for breakfast which was good and not quite expensive. The service was always present and not too fussy.

This is where I head for whenever flying out of T2. This time I didn't have much time and hardly any appetite however I was warmly welcomed for drinks and sat up at the bar with a great view of the runway I enjoyed a...couple of very nice cocktails. If only all the Terminals had somewhere as nice.More

We come here evertime we are at heathrow which is pretty frequent and normally it's great but this morning a waiter deliberately ignored our table as we waited for a bill. It was quiet in the restaurant with not many customers so when my companion...went up to pay he rudely told her to 'sit back down'and he proceeded to serve someone else. I'm not sure what his perceived slight was to make him behave this way and whisper something into the ear of the manager who bizarrely nodded when he did. Really strange and rude behaviour. We wont be back sadly. What was that all about? I'd appreciate a response from the restaurant.More

I was searching for a good full English breakfast before returning to Canada. As I read the menu the Maitre'd told me it was the best breakfast in Heathrow. Laughing I fell for it. The restaurant spacious and airy. The tables were well spaced out...and the decor light. The menu was simple and not too complicated. If you wanted alcohol, take your pick. It was too early in the day for me. I ordered the full English breakfast. I am not a fan of Black pudding, so that was a waste, a choice or substitution for this would have been welcome. It was nice to have butter that was not frozen or wrapped in foil! The tea, decent English Breakfast tea. The wait staff left you alone to eat, something that is rare these days. A wonderful start to my day.More

We had a nice meal here while waiting for our flight. Quiet and not too busy, tucked away in corner of Terminal 2 but larger than it looked. Very nice glass of English sparkling wine and food tasty.

Lovely food and very peaceful setting. All-round great experience. We had the two-course express menu as we waited for our flight - food was delicious and service impeccable. Will definitely be back.

Decent tasting food but cheap quality ingredients. If you are after good taste and quality doesn’t matter. Well presented Decent food but cheap quality ingredients. For example the milk they have for your tea is so fake. When asked they said they do not do...proper milk as no one asks for it.More

What a lovely surprise to find such a good restaurant at an airport. We were a bit tight timewise as i would have liked to linger over our chilled white wine. Service was of a really high standard and our food was delicious and well...presented. Our waiters name was Michael but everyone on the floor were so polite and professional. I loved the decor too. We visit our son in London a lot so we will definitely be back here.More
