My wife and I have just come back from eating here. It was a bit cold outside but the pub was lovely and warm and cosy. We came because my wife had a voucher for a bottle of Prosecco because it was her birthday. The...staff were very friendly. The food was well cooked and plentiful. To the person on trip advisor who said the portions were small is obviously very greedy as I had to leave some of my food because there was too much.More

I had fish and chips last month and again yesterday, it was so much nicer than any chippy shop i’ve ever been to! i also ordered a children’s sausage and mash and that was lovely too, also the triple cooked chips are to die for!!...highly highly recommend this place for food, it’s absolutely fabulous.More

My wife and i visited the March Hare and had what should have been a very nice meal, but halfway through our main course a mouse ran across the floor right in front of us,We watched it for about 20 seconds just sitting there. We mentioned it...to the waitress who said she would inform the manager. The mouse made two more appearances and we actually shot a video on our phone. I would have thought the manager would have come over to apologise. We didnt want to cause a fuss but it put my wife off of the remainder of her meal. Not wanting to waffle on we paid our bill and left. Our waitress was very pleasant but NOT the best experience.More

Nice cosy pub with a country feel. Staff were very efficient and helpful. Food a nice quality but a bit disappointed with portions to be honest as reasonably expensive. Come on now we need a decent portion for our hard earned money, three course meal...for two with drinks cost £55.More

5th time visiting now. Very cost little pub, the beer selection rotates and the food has been good every time we have been. The roasts are nice too and this has become our regular pub for family meals. There is quite a bit of nice...outside seating but the weather hasn’t really been good enough for that yet but in the summer I’d imagine it’s a nice place to sit outMore

The food isn’t too bad but is best described as pub grub. The building is a lovely old country pub style and has a welcoming feel, unfortunately ruined by not being able to take your coat off! I’ve visited a few times and my advice...to potential diners? Make sure you’re wearing thermals! Every time we’ve been it’s been bloody freezing, which does detract from the dining experience. As it’s an old style pub, even when it’s lovely, sunny and warm outside, it’s still cold inside.More

We had a table booked at 5.15pm on Sunday & when we arrived we were advised there was no Sunday roasts left - which was disappointing. They serve roasts until 8pm so you wouldn’t expect them to sell out so early. As we had booked...a table in advance they could have got in touch before we turned up to let us know & we could have looked to go elsewhere. We opted to stay & ordered from the normal menu, the food was very substandard for the cost. 3 of us ordered chicken pie, the pastry on one of them was very inconsistent to the other 2, mainly consisting of pastry & not much pie, the mash & veg with one of them was cold & two of them had gristly chicken. 2 ordered the burgers & they enjoyed them. The wine was also nice. We advised the staff & they were very polite & apologetic but we won’t be visiting again.More

Hi e_louise31, Firstly, I'd just like to apologise for your experience with us. This is disappointing to hear and not what we strive to achieve. The lunch service was a little busier than expected and caught us a bit off guard with our stock levels....More

Love The March Hare. Country pub feel with stream nearby, great inside and outside eating areas. Real fires in winter and friendly staff. What more could we ask!

Not sure what your question is. However if it is about having your dog in the restaurant then the answer is yes. Only been there once but saw several dogs around.
