Best to go when the bosses are in. Two nice young girls were serving but the chef improvised a bit too much. I ordered muchrooms in peppercorn sauce and stilton. I received muchrooms in thin gravy with a few whole peppercorns floating around. I sent it back and 5 mins later I received muchrooms in gravy, floating peppercorns with extra... More

Called in midweek. Always a warm welcome from the girls behind the bar. The place was so busy at around 2pm on a very stormy day. Nice glass of dry white wine at a good price. Took advantage of the 2 courses for £7.95. Lovely mushrooms followed by Thai curry. Just fabulous. I heartily recommend the Pilot Boat.

We have been to the Pilot Boat twice over the Christmas holidays whilst on a dog walk and have thoroughly enjoyed our lunch both times. We particularly enjoyed the 'dipping sandwich' when we came on Sunday - delicious alternative to a Sunday roast! The chips are my most favourite thing! This is a lovely little pub with a dog friendly... More

Me, my husband & our dog (Moo) chanced upon this great pub following an extremely cold walk along the prom!! The girl working that day gave us a great welcome, was really friendly & made sure our Moo had water & treats. Me & my husband both ordered the club sandwich for lunch...wow, freshly made, piping hot & absolutely delicious.... More

Stopped in by chance on Christmas Eve lunch time and ordered food on the two courses for £8 did not expect much but the mains and puddings we had were very tasty with good size portions and incredible value. Despite the pub being full the service was very quick. Well worth the stop
