Four of us went along on spec (no booking) and were immediately shown to a terrace table with a gorgeous view across the Tuscan country side towards San Gimignano. Service was prompt and friendly, and the waiter was keen to recommend what he regarded as the best dishes. Food was good, with an emphasis on local Tuscan dishes. Prices were... More

Ate at the restaurant during our stay. Food was excellent and very helpful staff. Great ambiance. It is not open on a Sunday. It is open to diners other than hotel guests.

Ristorante Il Castello catered last minute for a table of over 20 guests! Food, wine and venue was beautiful, thank you!

The food was very good, as was the service. The garden is charming with spectacular views over the Tuscan hills.

Our wedding reception for 44 people was perfect. Stunning courtyard venue with delicious food. Started with a huge anti-pasti and Prosecco, ravioli, slow cooked beef and wedding cake. All served with fantastic local wine. Service was great and we danced into the night around the fountain.

We came here as a very large party and as such we made allowances for that in terms of service. The food was distinctly average and not great value for money. the setting is very beautiful but not enough to over-ride the experience. Wait staff were rather aloof/borderline rude. We ordered wine many times without receiving it. It might be... More

But we did stop here mid morning to get out of the heat and have some refreshments... The outside terrace overlooking the countryside is shady and cool, the staff is pleasant so no qualms... Try it out !

Very Nice courtyard well planted out, service friendly but probably overstretched to serve all the tables. Reservation recommended or arrive very early.

Seems that not many visitors come to this hill top town. So good to get some real Tuscany vibes. Quiet but beautiful town, a few shops and bars. Again a few places to eat. We saw this restaurant on our arrival and decided to eat there later after we had explored. Very tranquil garden area with fountain which doubled the... More

Upon ordering our meal we were tutted at by the waiter. The food was nice, but we waited over an hour for a pasta course. They weren't even that busy!
