The service and food there was great. My wife had the fish and enjoyed it very much. They had a nice food selection and prices were good but a bit higher then the other places.

Very nice restaurant with different varieties from the sea, especially "sopa se mariscos" is amazing. When fishing the restaurant prepared a lunch from Roosterfish and Dorado. What a nice taste.

Fish dishes are excellent, especially sopa de mariscos which contains all possible delicious species from the sea. I tried it twice. The prices are a little bit high but it is worth of trying. Service is fast and attentive.

I love El Timon. The larger than life hammock, the very kind waitstaff in their very cute sailor uniforms and one of my favorite happy hour menus! All of the food here is really yummy. Don't come starving the kitchen is very slow but i'm...always happy with my meal.More

Excellent restaurant. Excellent service. Excellent food. Comes across as an above average restaurant, from the uniformed waiters to the presentation of the meals. A little higher priced than I usually like but well worth it.

I enjoyed both delicious food, which was grilled fish, wish rice, beans, and a small salad. The fish was well seasoned!

I have generally stayed away from El Timon on previous visits. I am not a fan of the loud music from the other local outlets. However, my wife insisted we go there as our final dinner in SJDS. I had the seafood soup, which was...very good. Service was very good as well. You pay a premium for the central location and beach setting, but still is acceptable. I will return to this facility in the future.More

El Timon was recommended to us by a friend. We were traveling to the area from the United States and our Spanish is limited. El Timon did not disappoint and communication was not an issue. The seafood options were very fresh and excellently prepared. We...had the ceviche appetizer and that was very fresh and tasty. For my entree I had the Mojarra Frita and it was excellent. The drinks were fantastic but what probably sets this place apart from most other restaurants in the beach is the service. Our waiter was always there, anticipating our questions, ready to get what we were looking for, and available for small talk. The service was top-notch and the beach side views are spectacular.More

This was a lovely beachside restaurant. Chicken dinners with rice was wonderful and hamburgers were large and well done as ordered. The wait staff was so friendly and attentive to us. Drinks were excellent. The service was quick and we spent a relaxed time at...the restaurant.More

Food was excellent and the waiters are very nice and some speak English. We had chicken with bacon (keto) and sea food (langoustes).
