It was nice to find a restaurant downtown with plenty of parking and the building was beautiful. Glass walls allowed you to see where they brew their own beer and their beer is the only beer they sell. That being said, their beer is very good and your waiter/waitress can suggest one you should like. I had a burger and... More

Visited ABC twice with a two week period for shows in their upstairs venue. Sampled quite a few of their beers and found all to be good, but not great. Had dinner one night before a show and really enjoyed our food. However the service was just lacking. The server seemed to be going through the motions and not taking... More

We stopped at the Appalachian Brewing Company for lunch on Saturday. Parking was plentiful around the back. It wasn't too busy around 1pm when we arrived and we were immediately seated. I had tried the Outta Focus Double IPA which was a bit less hoppy than expected but still good and my wife had the Water gap wheat, which she... More

The menu has something for everybody. The food is high-quality and really tastes great. But the wait ...! My three friends and I arrived there about 4:30 PM after attending the World Horse Expo all day. We were hungry. We were seated right away but then about 10 minutes later, after perusing the menu and choosing our drinks and food,... More

Had lunch with a group of coworkers mid-week. The dining area is large and open; not busy on a mid-week lunch hour. We were greeted and seated immediately. The server, Jordon, was friendly and attentive. Food portions were good for lunch and the price; high quality. I had the pork bar b q sandwich and ale cheddar soup-both were very... More

Unlike the reviewer below me, I too attended the Outdoor Show and arrived here with the expectation that the place would be packed and service wouldn't be super fast. That being said, it's a brewery, so sitting around with friends drinking some beers was just fine with us. Great lager beer! Appetizers came out quick enough to keep us happy.

We visited the Appalachian Brewing Company after a long day of walking around the Great American Outdoor Show. With high hopes, we were very disappointed. We ordered appetizers which 45 minutes after our order we still did not receive. After we had to ask about them, our server said she had to check. Another 20 minutes later we finally record... More

Went to see a band's record release party, (mountain road), and chosen to have dinner before the show. I thought the food was really good. Nothing overly jumped out at me on the menu for entrees, so I got a burger. Our server was very nice & helpful. The apple martinis were good. Then I had the raspberry...... wow!! Great!!... More

We were attending an event at the Harrisburg Farm Show Arena and found this place (very nearby) convenient and plenty of parking. Food is good- nothing to write home about but good. Lots of good beer selections and very accommodating to larger groups. I would definitely go back!

We rented for a part that worked out perfectly, the service was great. We were back several times and this place is consistently good. Great beers but can order wine or liquor too. Parking sucks at downtown location. Excellent overall!

Description
Our original Appalachian Brewing Company brewpub is located in historic Harrisburg, PA. The impressive three-story brick and heavy timber structure was built circa 1915. The lagering room portion of the brewery dates to 1890. Throughout the brewery, antique brick walls, massive wooden beams, hardwood floors and ceilings provide a warmth and inner glow rivaled only by the beer itself. We are proud to be the first and only brewery in the Pennsylvania State Capital since 1951. ABC serves fresh innovative cuisine to match our tremendous handcrafted ales and lagers!

We hope to see you soon and look forward to serving you and your friends often!
