Large fun spot made up mostly of booths that were very reminiscent of Santa Fe. Stopped in after tiring day of painting so welcomed margarita and excellent salsa/chips. Enchiladas and tacos good--- nothing exceptional but quite good. Service fine, but large family groups were quite unruly and spoiled mood for us. We did move as many spots available but wish... We come very frequently for lunch here. Very affordable, very fast service and the service is very friendly. It is not real Mexican, but is as close as it will ever be.

The dining area of Patron is fun and open; not crowded and pleasing to the eye. There are several types of tables (booths, regular) and a bar area that is decently separated for noise reduction. The food was excellent, rich meats in the fajitas and nicely-arranged street tacos were a pleasure to the eye and the palate. The service was... More

Camarones de Patron - crisp seared shrimp, seasoned to perfection and melt-in-your mouth goodness served with steamed seasonal veggies and rice. Beautiful presentation, expeditious delivery and served on a HOT plate! Grilled Chicken Chimichanga filled with adobe seasoned fresh chicken, roasted tomatoes, pico de gallo and queso. A chunky guacamole salad and a huge dollop of sour cream covered a... More

We went there on a Saturday evening, and the good news was that it was less than half full (a good tip that we should have left). The waiter got 2 out of 4 orders wrong; and the two that he got ride he combined (meaning two people made two separate orders of the same thing and they came on... More

The only Mexican choice in the area, so, it is not the best, but the only one. food is good and portions are big, so you will never leave hungry. The service is very good the staff is friendly. Prices is ok. But if you are looking for real Mexican, this is not the place. The most real Mexican they... More

First impression was good as the host was very friendly. It was mid-afternoon and I ordered an appetizer to go. The fiesta dip was very good and enough for four of us. I have been to other locations over the years as Patron's is always one of my top choices for Mexican food.

OK - perhaps there are better carnitas, but I have never had them. The Patron in Aspinwall is worth crossing the river. The parking is free; the service is exceptional and the atmosphere is great - even the "football" on TV. It took us years to find good Mexican food in Pittsburgh. Note: multiple locations. The location in East Liberty... More

Decor was certainly that of a south of the border resturant. Service was quick, and the waitress was okay. Food was decent, but my Margarita was not worth the price. I think it was just this location, because my experience with the Patron in Monroeville was much better.

This is my absolute favorite Mexican Restaurant. I always go the the one in Wexford. The Pollo Compadres is the absolute best.
