What a fantastic meal! Great drinks and awesome meals. I could have eaten the entire basket of bread with the delicious herb and garlic-infused oil. The portions of our meals were so large; my husband and I both took half of our meals home. The server, Emily, was sweet and helpful.

Went here for the first time, even though I have heard nothing but great reviews for years...this is by far one of the most wonderful restaurants I have ever been, the food was heavenly and the service was fantastic. It's a perfect gorgeous date night restaurant!!! Cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu! And definitely say... More

I had dinner last night at Colao's Ristorante with two associates. The waitress, Emily, was very informative on the menu and on the extended list of specials for the evening. We had appetizers of crab stuffed mushrooms, scallops, and stuffed peppers and all three were excellent. For entrees, we had osso buco, and the Chilean Sea Bass. The pork shank... More

Excellent service and superior...superior gourmet food. Hands down the best restaurant especially for Italian in Erie. The positive is it is a "GREAT VALUE"!! Made a reservation while the restaurant was closed by leaving my message on a voicemail system. The owner called me back and confirmed my reservation. I have dined though out the world and Colao's is within... More

This is one of the better restaurants in Erie. Reservations on the weekend recommended. I had the grouper that was prepared excellently with a side of risotto and broccoli. The sauce was perfect. My husband had the Seafood Florentine. It looked beautiful and tasted even better. They have a well rounded wine list that is reasonably priced. We shared a... More

The waiter was such a cringe-fest of racism. He spent so much time trying to "entertain" us by trying to pronounce the names of various people at the table based off of their credit card. He actually called one friend a profanity several times insisting he was saying it correctly. He tried to coach me on how to pronounce my... More

Like other reviews, the soup ordered came out ice cold and was reheated with steam coming off but the soup still was luke warm at best. With the server taking the soup off the table still 3/4 full she didn't ask if there was a problem and sending it back twice wouldn't have made sense. We were still charged for... More

We visited on a Friday night between Christmas and New Years Eve. We both had the Calabrese Broccoli. It was ok - kind of like an $8.00 Chinese dinner with 2 scallops and shrimp. Certainly not a $22 (or $27) fine Italian dish. There's an up charge for homemade pasta otherwise you get standard fare. The bread and dipping oil... More

First the good part: the service is pretty good, the atmosphere is quaint and comfortable, and some of the appetizers (we tried several) were nice -- particularly the sausage stuffed peppers. Now the not so good: my soup (pasta fagipoli) came out cold (all of ours did) and was so-so. Main dishes were generally bland. I had the lasagna. Folks... More
