It was a very laid back atmosphere and the food was very good. Would definitely go back again. Nice varied menu and good service.

We're not drinkers but the bar items must be good and fairly priced as there are usually quite a few People there. For us, the lure is in the meals. Their food is phenomenal. Not the usual bar food although they have that, too. Everything we have had there is great. There's always an unusual twist to some of the... More

The building itself from circa 1760 fascinated us- just beautiful. The owner gave us lots of information on the history of the immediate area and the inn itself (which he continues to restore). We almost drove by it but the pub itself caught our eye. While others crowded into other nearby place with garrulous crowds on a Friday night, we... More

Food took FOREVER but was delicious and reasonably priced. Server was wonderful. Building was gorgeous and interior was homey and very rustic.

Years ago this was a "special pub", almost British like. Now its a Budweiser bar, nothing special. Big leap backwards. Food is nothing special.

AVOID!!! Years ago, this was a nice fine dining establishment, the new owner has completely ruined it. We stopped by on an early Saturday evening, with just a few cars in the parking lot, that should have been a clue of what was to follow. After a long wait, we were seated by a bartender, who was dressed in dirty... More

The place has beautiful old stonework and the bar and dining room are really cozy. Unfortunately, the food pales in comparison. They have a very limited menu. I really wanted a burger but they nickle and dime you for everything you want on it. The burger comes plain, and when I say plain I mean just the burger and a... More

Went in on a Saturday evening, one of two tables. Service was mediocre, but waiter was pleasant nevertheless. Historic building. Food was OK, but nothing to rave about - good beer selection.

We have been patrons of Wahtneys since its opening. After the original owners moved on, the building sat empty for years. We were happy to see it up and running again, so we checked it out. It seems this is a work in progress. No drink list, no wine list, limited dinner menu. The best feature, the bar, looks the... More
