Stopped by based on a TripAdvisor review. Large beer selection and a nice menu. We live in York, but we will be back soon. Worth the drive.

I always go to Market Cross when I visit Carlisle. The staff is super friendly, and the beer selection amazing. The food is English, but it is at a totally reasonable price. We enjoyed the soft pretzels and the reuben, both for a great meal. For larger groups they have a private room in the back, which is super helpful!

The food is really good and serve a variety of dishes. The taps are well diverse and usually carry Big Hill cider or another cider brand.

I was disappointed that they only served beer as they have no liquor license but they had a large selection of beer. We had burgers which were very good. The service was good as was the atmosphere....they play classic rock which we love.

Have had many a late dinner here with friends and family. Menu with English Pub fare and American choices. The high number of international and home brews on tap will please beer lovers.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our food here. We had the BLT, shepherds pie and cranberry chicken salad and they were all very good. There is a full bar and beer specials each day. You can eat in the bar area or apart from it. We will eat here again.

This place is a restaurant, pub, and brewery. Their English red ale was delicious, as were the sweet potato fries. The menu is extensive with several English dishes. Both my wife and I had the chicken pot pie and we agreed it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful and helped make this pleasant dinner after a long... More
