We had a very good breakfast after we finally found the place. Service was very good too. They could use a sign out at the road because the only sign we saw was under the overhang right at the entrance door. If it were not...More

Stopped at Brass Pelican for brunch Sunday afternoon with friends. Although it was some what busy, a table was cleared and set for us immediately. Our server had a "playful" attitude which made our visit very enjoyable. The food was served in a timely manner...More

Famous for "buckwheat pancakes", this back woods restaurant has many other menu items. The food is good "home cooking" and inexpensive. Literally off the beaten path in rural north central PA, it is worth the drive if you're traveling through the area to get an...More

I have visited the Brass Pelican at least once monthly for 13 years for breakfast. Famous for their buckwheat cakes. I've tried many breakfast choices over the years and enjoyed them all. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

Really great home town atmosphere. I prefer gourmet foods cooked with herbs & seasonings, so this was not my preference in cuisine but I went with a group, and the socialization was great.

The Pelican's sourdough buckwheat cakes are THE BEST...nice and thin, slightly sour, great with syrup. All of the menu choices are very good to excellent; and the portions are large. Your fault if you go away hungry.
