The food was very good and the wait staff was very attentive. The only things i didn't like were the prices were very high and the seats were very crammed together.

We have eaten here many times, returning again and again for the carefully prepared, unpretentious comfort food, French style. Everything is fresh and seasonal. Chef/owner Bernard will make substitutions on request and will also select appropriate wine for your meal if you wish. Some reviews have commented on the prices being high, but in our estimation the careful, delicious quality... More

I keep going back - the food is amazing as is the Chef/Owner Bernard. The food is always freshly prepared from scratch and perfectly seasoned! From Octopus to Rabbit it is all delicious. This is hands down the best place in Salem!

This is an over-rated (and over-priced) experience. While an interesting attempt, the cuisine falls flat -- even for Salem. The offerings are limited and not worthy of the reputation this place has gained. With the very small dining room, you pay for the customers that aren't able to fit inside. I am spoiled to have eaten at the best restaurants... More

We really enjoyed the fine cuisine, the seafood is amazing. The only downside was the prices were slightly too high. All in all, I still recommend it

We stopped in on a Tuesday night with a group of friends and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered appetizers, entrees and desserts, all of which were impressive. The carrot soup was delicious, but the sauces served with every entree ordered were outstanding. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. However, the entrees are such than can be found in top... Although the atmosphere is cozy and somewhat charming, the meal was disappointing and over priced. As another review mentioned, bread is extra. The food was not attractively presented. The entrees, whether beef, pork, lamb, duck seem to covered with the same sauce. Many of the wines on the wine list are not available.

Traditional small french bistro--seasonal cuisine with menu that changes with what is available. Worth crossing the Willamette to eat here.

Our first dinner at this restaurant 10.7.14 We had lovely snails and two glasses of wine. The soup of the day was very tempting, Onion soup, yum, but at $7.50, I couldn't justify buying it as well. We had venison and cassoulet both were very good and at $30 for each entrée I would expect them to be wonderful. Nice... More

We loved our first visit so much we took a larger party for a special occasion and were disappointed. The server said that she was serving the rabbit and gave it to the people who ordered rabbit. They started eating it and then the head waiter came out and said it was really the duck so we switched it to... More
