I've been going to the Mountain Cafe regularly since buying a place nearby in 2015. While the pizza's have been great in the past, it's really the breakfast I go for. Great breakfast selection, fresh biscuits, and the Tostada Scramble is a must try. Service can be on the slow side if busy, but they are very friendly.

We have been to Zigzag Mtn Cafe a number of times on our way to and from Mt. Hood. We were headed to Government Camp for a week away between Christmas and New Years and stopped here for lunch. This particular trip was a bit disappointing this time. Though the restaurant was not super busy, our service was slow and... More

My family has been eating in this wonderful place for over 20 years. They have always had great food, nicely served at a reasonable price. The pizza has always been a mainstay and since we have a mountain cabin close by we never miss at least one pizza night. What has happened? The service is still excellent, but the food... More

You can't beat it - from 7am-9am $4 for 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes and a homemade biscuit. We made a quick stop on our way back from Mt. Hood. I really enjoyed it for the price. Good choice!

Food was ok. The waitress was so overwhelmed that she really only had time to take our order and drop off our food. Would I go back....probably not.

We had just spent 3 days hiking and camping on Mt. Hood and stopped by the cute Zigzag Mountain Cafe. Our home cooked breakfast of omelets and boysenberry pancakes was delicious!

We ate dinner with friends, not a large party, but there were several mistakes with our meal: one person's salad was missing, another person's order came out wrong, the bill came with no breakdown, and lastly, a meal was overcharged (special for the evening). Entrees were good and large portions. Berry cobbler was just ok.

We were staying in a cabin nearby and had been advised this was a good place for breakfast. We were able to seat ourselves, so picked a spot against the back windows overlooking the creek. The coffee was good and our big breakfast was just what we needed to kick off a day of hiking. We had the breakfast special... More

Inside an old building originally built in 1916 but has since been remodeled. It still gives the "old times" feel. The food is what you come for and it is really good. We had the Denver Scramble, the Mt. Hood Scramble (which both come with cut/chopped potatoes and a very good homemade biscuit w/homemade blackberry jam), and Boysenberry Pancakes with... More
