I had the surf and turf with a mason jar of fruit juice and rum. It was all pretty tasty. The grilled shrimp were the star of the plate, well seasoned and not over-cooked. The ribeye was well seasoned, tender, and done to my taste, if a little fatty. Toasted garlic chibata was very good as well. Potato had probably... More

The food was average and there is a salad bar that has fresh greens and veggies. The food is on the "heavy" side-fettuccine, hamburgers, chicken fried steak, rib eye, etc. The portions are large and my husband and I shared. The owner is friendly and accommodating, and quick to give you a warm welcome. Prices are very reasonable.

Stopped here for dinner. Bar is impressive with interesting story. Food and service were pretty good. For evening meal go early as this place will close by 8PM and for food service you probably need to arrive not later than 7PM.

If you want hunting trophies and a hand-carved turn of the century solid mahogany bar this place does not disappoint. We were there at happy hour and split a chef salad and buffalo codfish bites. Both were very good and fresh. The bartender had grown up in the area and was very knowledgeable of it's interesting history. They had my... More

A very small town with a very nice restaurant. I had the chicken-fried steak, not haute cuisine but a nice rendition of the old favorite. My wife also liked her pork chop, thin but nicely moist an flavorful. The proprietor took pains to make us feel welcomed, and even the other diners were friendly and pleasant.

We each ordered the half steak meal. The salad bar was okay, not a lot to choose from. Our prime rib was suppose to be half the size of the 14 oz. full size steak but when it came it was more like a 4 oz. instead of a 7 oz. serving. It was not that tasty and had a... More

Phil and Carol have done a great job since buying this restaurant. Carol is a good cook and claims her Alfredo is the best. After trying it I have to agree. The ambiance is wonderful and the back bar as shown in this photo is truly amazing along with the history of how it got there. Do not miss the... More

Stayed the evening in town for business. This is my second visit to Oxbow Restaurant and Saloon in the last month. Last visit I had the ribeye steak (local from a large Angus ranch in Baker City) it was fantastic. This time, I decided to go with the house made chicken fettuccine. It too was amazing. The bar is filled... More
