On our recent family visit to Portland, we had a delicious meal here. The food is hearty and well prepared. The portions are very generous! Not really a place where you want to diet. I tried biscuits and gravy for the first time. There are...More

This was a total Stumble Upon experience; our destination was coffee at Heart roasters down the street, which after getting a great cup of coffee, decided we were hungry and went looking for a breakfast joint. Screen Door was an easy find close by! We...More

Been here 3 times so have a pretty good frame of reference. I think it's the best breakfast in Portland. Service is good with friendly wait staff. Menu is limited, but what they do they do well. Prices are slightly above average but reasonable. Now...More

Long wait, yummy breakfast, and great service. The food was good portion for two people. I ate only half of it.

People were raving about this place, specifically the chicken and waffles so we had to stop by here on our recent trip. Food was average honestly but the service was good and they allow dogs on their patio so I would try this place again...More

We arrived for dinner at 4:55 pm; the restaurant opened for dinner at 5:30 pm. They do not take reservations so we knew the wait was inevitable. We were able to sit at the bar and the service, food and staff was great! I had...More

Get there early (before they open) or you're going to have to wait, but it is absolutely worth it. Fantastic food, unique menu that is perfectly executed. Highly recommend the pimento cheese sausage biscuit and cheese grits, excellent!

Hands down the best brunch I've had in years. The praline bacon was basically dessert, the sausage po-boy was perfection. The fried chicken and waffles looked amazing as it was passing by to other tables.

Indeed, that is what I was told... They have the best fried Chicken and I agree. Great, towny atmosphere, southern comfort food at its best. Don't dress up, don't take out a loan but come hungry.

Food is so good. Always a bit of a wait. Pretty noisy but comfortable place. Parking a challenge. I will go back again and again. Food, drinks and people all rate 5.

Screen Door presents a revival of regional American cuisine, a survey of the south, from South Carolina Lowcountry cuisine to soul food and Cajun one-pot cookery to the refined Creole and French preparations found in New Orleans. We celebrate Southern cuisine from the quintessential hearty fare to the everyday foods gathered fresh from the garden. At Screen Door we serve natural, local and organic produce and meats everyday. Central to our concept is weaving the rich bounty of local fresh produce found here in the Pacific Northwest into our menu.
