The salads and matzo ball soup was great - just what we needed for a light dinner. Good service and atmosphere as well.

We decided to walk here from our hotel for breakfast. Busy place, lots of people waiting. Only waited about 15 mins. Then sat in the bigger room. Decor was nice. Waited a bit for our good but wow was it worth the wait. We got...More

The atmosphere is classic and rustic with chandeliers in every room. The staff is friendly and very prompt. We had the French Toast and Biscuits and Gravy. The French toast was delicious and was coated with corn flakes which added a nice change of texture...More

Mothers has amazing food, and the style inside is very relaxing with a classic feel. Portland downtown has become over ran with homeless and drugs. Just outside this place feels very unsafe. I would not recommend bringing small children to this area of Portland.

The quality of the food at breakfast at Mothers is unparalleled anywhere in Portland. My favorite is the French Toast but it's ALL GOOD!

You will get good food here, but you will pay for it and you will wait for it. It is an easy location to find and perhaps it gets the high reviews for that alone. Give it a try, just don't expect to be blown...More

Delicious breakfast served with a smile. The decaf pressed coffee is the best I have ever had. The portobello mushroom scramble was a sumptuous delight. Lots of mushrooms and spinach. Great relaxed spot for breakfast

You should be fine. You'll miss the morning breakfast rush and beat the early lunch crowd. Like I said, the Bloody Mary's are great! Enjoy and have a blessed Christmas!
