We were told that Jake's was a Portland landmark and it is. The history is great, especially the bar. The service was excellent. Stuffed salmon and Dungeness crab were the highlights of the food. The Halibut was too crisp on the outside and a bit...More

Good variety of seafood. The place has character. The Waite staff was very good and the food was very good. Good size servings. Great family place.

Fine dining or bar. Expensive dinner but great meal. Popular with portlanders. Parking bad but has valet parking. We eat here several times a year with special guests or birthdays. Good for business dinners.

4 of us had dinner there a couple of nights ago and we're all are glad we did. The service was excellent and the food delicious. I strongly recommend getting a reservation far in advance, we went at 6:15 on a Sunday and the place...More

I loved this place and ate here for lunch every chance I could. Fantastic clam chowder, salmon, and oysters. Great service sitting at the bar and loved the old school feel of the restaurant. Will definitely return.

My wife and I were in Portland recently and had to stop by the city's oldest and most famous restaurant. To be honest, we should have chosen differently. I get that it is an old restaurant, but the interior decor does not need to look...More

Good food and great staff. Lots of space including outdoor seating. They have a happy hour with quite a lot of items.

We went here for a delicious lunch. I had the ahi tuna salad and my husband had a Parmesan crusted halibut. We both agreed it was the best halibut we've ever had and the tuna was fresh from Hawaii. Not a bite was left! It...More

Hi Kim I parked nearby but didn't validate parking so I'm not sure but I would definitely book as it is often packed so you can ask them about parking when you book Sandy

Yes, a McCormick and Schmicks gift card would work there. If you happen to have a Jake's gift card, that too would work obviously.

There was plenty of street parking. Taking a taxi is another option. We actually walked from our hotel. Walking was the better option since their portions were wonderful.
