Montage is a staple in Portland and is well known for its late night hours and decorative take out tinfoil. The food is consistently well made and generously portioned. If you aren't going to finish your food you might consider giving it away to one...More

Are there for the first (but not the last!) time yesterday and very much savored the blackened chicken entree. I prefer, though, applying my own quantity of dressing to a salad, but these come with it already applied unless you ask otherwise, it appears.

My husband and I got the basil pesto macaroni and the fettuccine and it was SO good. The staff was friendly and was very quick to bring out our orders. It's a fun atmosphere and would definitely recommend it.

We were invited to try something unique and new! How about Alligator Bites and Frog Legs! Open up the hatch and down the chute. The Alligator bites taste just like Luggage!! And after eating the Frog Legs I had a sudden urge to catch flies.......More

Took a good friend to dinner to celebrate his birthday. Atmosphere was great as always with the cozy, communal tables. Appetizers (Oysters and Hush Puppies) were great and two of our three dinners hit the spot. Unfortunately, the chicken and andouille gumbo had plenty of...More

Have always loved the Bistro Montage and it stays true to memory for excellent food and rowdy service. Get some shooters while waiting for your mac. If you can save some leftovers, pray for a swan or elephant shaped foil case. Don’t forget to bring...More

One of the most consistent and best dining values in Portland. If you love adventurous, spicy Cajun, this is the only place to go. The location under the bridge is not great, parking is not great, but it's all worth it when you sit down...More

My husband and I took his parents to his restaurant for their anniversary, and it was nice. The food is very good, and the restaurant has a unique variety even by Portland standards. I had the fried cat fish, and it was great! However, this...More

We were told they had great mac and cheese choices and they weren't kidding! Lots of choices, even for vegans or vegetarians. Three of our friends got a mac and cheese. I tried their catfish fillet which was also super tasty and quite heavy. Don't...More

I do not remember it being hot. It is an older building and I think I remember fans in the bar.

Description
The vision of Jon Beckel, Le Bistro Montage's founder, was to have a place where everyone could enjoy themselves and have a great meal. He hit the mark with Le Bistro Montage. Founded in 1992 in a converted taco stand, it soon moved to it's present location at 301 SE Morrison. On a shoestring budget, Jon and staff created a one of a kind place where, when you step in the door, you're not quite sure where you are. Its quirky decor, including huge paintings, a poster pulled off the Berlin Wall, decadent fresh flowers, tin cans pounded into the floor, and long, linen-covered tables, Creates an atmosphere that draws all types and guarantees a great time.
