Ringside is a welcome throwback to an era when steak was king and service was the prime directive. Classic menu, including salads, steaks, and fish. My caesar salad had the perfect amount of anchovy taste and copious amounts of shaved Parmesan. I ordered the dry-aged, bone-in NY steak and it was to die for. Literally the size of a brick,... MEAT! $300 Saturday Night Special...they call it the "Dude Steak". Its a part of the cow that includes a whole lot of filet mignon and a whole lot of top sirloin...nearly 5 pounds worth of beef, when you factor in the small decorative bone piece and fat. This massive dead cow piece with Asparagus, Mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and rice. Oh... More

Spent Easter in Portland with my son who lives there and made our annual trip to celebrate at Ringside Steakhouse Uptown with him and his girlfriend and my wife, wonderful sizzling steaks and great appetizers, best onion rings you will find in the Northwest, service is always tops, also has a great 3 course package resonably priced- a must stop... Valet parking is great as parking in the area is at a premium. Complimentary too! Once in the door, the dark, clubby look raised my expectations. I had seen the menu online and knew I would pay a price for a premium meal. There were. Few private tables in the lounge area, which we decided was OK. Tables in the... More

If your in Portland, definitely stop in for a relaxing dinner and enjoy the steak. Our waiter "Derek" was very friendly knowledgable and made the experience perfect.

This landmark restaurant defines excellence and has served many generations of Portlanders and visitors. The Burnside location is the original and has been a fixture for 70 years. It's old world feeling is warm and European feeling. The service is generally outstanding and pampering. ALWAYS start your meal with the Onion Rings....they should not be missed. Ringside is known for... More

I've been going to the Ringside for many years. They have really gone downhill. Slow service, dirty silverware. I ordered a glass of wine, it arrived in a carafe. I have no idea if it was the wine that I ordered. There was cork floating on the top, They didn't like it when I wouldn't accept it. I wanted it... More

Food and service is great. Setting is pretty old and rustic, feels like it has been around for a very long time. Service was very attentive, knowledgeable on the menu and kept the right balance of small talk without being a constant presence. Food is expensive, but not more than the other steakhouses in town. You will spend over $200... More

Four of us dined here to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had reservations (a must) and were immediately seated. The atmosphere is perfect for a steak house, the menu is extensive and does feature other foods. We enjoyed a board appetizer with cheeses, meats, olives, etc. Our service was prompt and excellent and dinner was superb! All of us had... More

John and I have been to the Ringside several times! Every time it's been great! You must get the "rings" and then any steak!! Wine list is extensive and expensive! We usually have a cocktail before, and then a glass of wine with dinner! Ambiance is wonderful, as is wait staff!
