Awesome little spot in the Pearl District. We showed up just after breakfast so there was actually a table available. We were short on time, but the servers and cooks made sure to get everything out on time. The Bylaws Philly and side salad with honey mustard dressing were fantastic and very filling. Everyone else's plates looked huge and delicious.... More

Went here for breakfast this morning, what a great old school spot. Great breakfast selection. Great service, nice cozy feeling and really inexpensive. You will enjoy it.

After seeing this place on TV, we had to try it. the vintage décor was a constant conversation piece, the service was incredibly friendly, and the food was that kind of diner experience that we were craving. Between the 4 of us we had Mt Rushmore Hash, the three day weekend and the long long trailer. Everyone went home full... More

The food at Byways is like from the old American Breakfast Diner. They even have license plate memorabilia on the walls of the various states and even old movie posters. They have some interesting types of pancakes such as blue corn pancakes (very filling) and they has a lot of pancake specials offering different flavors. The French Toast is good... More

I was in town visiting and my daughter steered me here. The decor is vintage and there are so many interesting things to look at, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was divine! I had the Multnomah melt and it was excellent! Enough for two meals for me! They even had a nice selection of teas.... More

We went here for brunch and were so glad we did. The cafe is casual, with a friendly staff. We enjoyed the license plates lining the walls and the mismatched dinnerware. The scrambled eggs tacos were very flavorful and fun to eat. The spiced pancakes had a nutty flavor with ginger and cinnamon highlights. Even though it was busy, our... More

Really enjoy coming to Byways when I'm in the mood for a very hearty breakfast. I had the Pikes Peak omelet and added a home made biscuit. The food was excellent with super large portions. Entrees could very easily be split. The service was very friendly yet a bit on the slow side. As busy as Byways is, I think... More

We love trying different places while traveling. This was a bit of a walk, but real biscuits and gravy sounded great! And they were. Simple diner with good service and fabulous food. My husband got the French toast. We were warned the regular was huge and got the meal with eggs and meat and it was still a ton of... More
