Spring rolls and iced Thai tea, plus the best peanut curry I've ever eaten. Go here. Parking lot behind restaurant.

I am no Thai aficionado, but I have been to at least a dozen Thai restaurants in PDX. This unasssuming place in North Portland is often empty, whichI don't understand since it is so much better than other more popular Thai restaurants. Try their Thai spice beef soup. It tastes like it has been simmering for days and is more... More

Well, I will say the service was fast, if rather impersonal. On a Friday, the restaurant wasn't at all crowded. A bad sign? My dish that I ordered was fine, but the dish my friend ordered was rather lackluster/boring. The portions were not that large, but white rice was included. It's a large restaurant ... so that you can get... More

Stopped in for lunch with a business colleague and was really impressed. He had a curry and I had lemongrass chicken. Service was fast and friendly, food was flavorful with fresh ingredients and nice presentation. Definitely worth a stop if you crave Thai in NoPo!

Stopped in with hubby to grab a quick bite. I have eaten here a few times, and it has been good each visit. This time was no exception. Tried the appetizer plate, and the kao soy. Wow, what a great dish. Loved it. Iced coffee and Thai beer were good too.

I had a pretty awesome meal here. We were at the Lan Su Chinese garden tea room and got the recommendation to eat here. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I got something with egg fried rice and I ate every last bite and my husbands grandma ate every last bite of her meal too! Fun area, definitely worth the... More

In my assessment, this is the best Thai food in North Portland. Their menu goes well beyond the standard Thai restaurant fare, and their specials are generally amazing. They seem to use fresh, high quality ingredients. The service is great and friendly. The ambiance inside is quite nice. The window tables are good for date nights.

Thai food is our usual #1 choice, and this is the best Thai restaurant in North Portland (and yes, there are not a lot, but I think we've tried most of the others). Each time we've been the place has been nearly empty. I can't figure out how they stay in business if that's typical, though they had several carry-out... More

I really like Thai food, so I usually leave happy from a Thai restaurant, and Tsunami Thai was no exception. It didn't blow me away or anything, but it was good.
