This little space is right across from Pok Pok, the well regarded Thai restaurant. Here, they focus on good drinks and some excellent apps. They have a thing called "jelly beer" which, to the best of my understanding, is supercooled beer that wants to escape from its bottle faster than it is prudent to suck it down....nonetheless, to avoid a... Everyone says to get the wings, the ones Pok Pok is famous for. And they're right. I will warn you, they smell pretty terrible. Blame it on the fish sauce. But ignore the smell and take a bite and you'll be rewarded with the best wings you've ever had.

We waited here for a table at their affiliate restaurant Pok Pok (across the street) and sampled some appetisers. The Phat How Laai (Manila clams in Thai broth) was UNBELIEVABLE... broth was out of this world savoury, flavorful etc. Must try. Other items like the sticky rice and stir fry noodles were also excellent.

Whiskey Soda Lounge was fun, the wings were excellent and there overall experience was very good. We had drinks, their famous wings, and the fried pig tail. Drinks were well prepared but could have had a little more depth, of course as mentioned earlier the wings were excellent, pig tail was just ok, and the service was very good. For... More

Came around 9pm on a Friday night. They have self seating and we ended up getting the last open table which was for standing. They do have a wide selection of whiskey but I found them lacking in the higher end whiskies. Example: they didn't have JW ble label or ever the macallan 17yr or better. Ok selection of mixed... The restaurant is warm and welcoming and so is the staff. They strive to make your experience enjoyable. Go for the cocktails. But you will come back for the food. The chef takes a personal interest in your enjoyment of your food. Thai food and drinking vinegar drinks is that a shrub? Friendly, outgoing and engaged. Street parking...ugh

Best chicken wings ever! Huge selections of whisky, fun place to meet friends and to meet new people if you are ambitious.

I was not brave enough to try their drinking vinegar. This bar has a Tiki/Asian vibe that is not really my thing, but they have a lot of varieties of Whiskey without actually looking like a true Whiskey bar and that makes it different. I didn't eat any food here, but I'd say the cocktails were alright. Atmosphere is alright.... More

This is a great little spot across the street from Pok Pok to wait for your table... The've got yummy snacks, drinking vinegars, and a decent cocktail menu.

So happy that we didn't need to stand outside of "Pok Pok" in the cold weather waiting for our table to be ready. We walked over to Whiskey Soda Lounge and started with their famous Thai chicken wings (same recipe as @ Pok Pok) and ordered couple drinks to kill times. When your table is ready over at "Pok Pok",... More
