Limited wine selection. Good service. Kind of bar like atmosphere. Not super memorable but the food was solidly good. Not a particularly interesting menu.

Very nice little restaurant. Simple foods, good service, fair prices. We stopped by for lunch while waiting for a train. I had fish tacos which were made with very fresh fish and great flavors including guacamole and other condiments. Very tasty! My wife had the roasted beet and pear salad which was very lite, crisp and tasty. Nice lunch and... More

We've stopped here for drinks and always enjoy it. Really nice cocktails and skilled/friendly bar tenders. My friend loves the 5th Street Manhattan. This time we were celebrating a b-day. Arrived at happy hour then kept our seats at the bar and enjoyed dinner. Both our meals were excellent - one steak and one scallops. We also spit a very... More

A Portland gem. Went with a group and the spot won rave reviews. Superior entrees inluded, roast salmon, pork loin and chicken breast. Pork loin featured pureed roast carrots as a side and a coarse mustard sauce. Salted caramel Gelato not to be missed.

We dropped in for lunch while out exploring Portland and were super-surprised at the quality of the tuna nicoise; the artisan tomato soup and grilled cheese were also delicious. We were seated in a booth at the rear of the room and the service was exemplary. We returned for dinner a few days later and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, this... More

Solid. Genuinely solid. Although stymied by a location that takes it outside of the conventional restaurant zones for Portland, the Davis Street Tavern offers an intimate environment with really sophisticated food. Their take on modern tavern or pub food is refreshingly appealing. We went on a nondescript Thursday night and had the place (it was a bit late for the... More

They take reservations for lunch which is nice. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was attentive and just right. The noise level was lower than some places so it was easy to talk business. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch. The Steak salad was the best I've had in a long time. I will be back often.... More

Came here with my wife on a weekday night for dinner. It's a nice little restaurant with a cool bar. We shared the clams and the steak. Everything was tasty and well prepared. The only small complaint is that the steak as a bit too charred on the outside, for my wife's taste, but other than that, it was tender... More
