This Kool spot used to be a mortuary and a wedding chapel. It's a good stop for a quaint drink during your vacation!

Having grown up in Portland, most of us knew that the Little Chapel of the Chimes was a mortuary in N. Portland. However, as McMenamin's does, they took over this historic little building and turned it into a pub, keeping many of the original architectural features. Winter or summer, it's a comfortable place to stop by for well-prepared (not really... More

It's thing of joy, grace and happiness when you are looking for place to sit and spend a few moments of calm and you happen upon the most amazing spot quite by accident! I can't tell you how the food is because I didn't eat. I can't tell you how the beer they brew is because I didn't partake. I... More

I was there to join a travel group event. I enjoyed a drink. I felt the waitress staff was overwhelmed due to our group. 1 person in our group could not get a drink.I saw only 1 server between our room and the bar area. The bartender was good. When I approached the pub a woman approached me asking for... More

We went here three times during our 4 day visit. We loved everything about the place. The food was truly phenomenal and they had good beer and wine and appetizer specials!!!

History of this old refurbished funeral parlor, was familial for me, making it extra fun and special. The old viewing room, service parlor, and outside refurbishing remodeling is fantastic.....You can never beat Mc Menamins food and home Brew or hard ciders, which are my personal favorite.

There are plenty of nooks and isolated eating areas in this pub. We went on an unseasonably warm day in April, and found a great quiet table in the back (away from the street noise) in the shade. The food was delicious, but the service a bit erratic (fast, then super slow). I would come here again just for the... More

After some chores in the local area, my mother and I were looking for a nice place to have a late lunch. I used "Trip Advisor" to identify some restaurants in the area and McMenamins Chapel Pub came up. What a treat for the eyes and stomach. Although there were few other diners, the service was slow throughout. It was... More

Many Portland neighborhoods have a McMenamins pub in them, but the Chapel Pub is one of the best. Even our 10-year-old granddaughter loves to come here, and has been for years, using the provided crayons to doodle while she waits for her food ordered from the kids menu. The fish and chips are great (so are the varied burgers and... More

The atmosphere, architecture & decor made it worth the visit! The food was just ok. We've been to the Kennedy School & loved it! Planning in trying Edgefield next!
