The staff are incredibly nice - the specials are always good and very well priced. The menu is huge and they don't mind substitutions! Wonderful old oak booths, stay as long as you want - and definitely try their bakery products. They are fresh and (I believe) authentic! Definitely our go-to lunch place from the winery where we work.

After a day in wine country, we wanted some spicy and good Mexican food to finish the day. This was the place. The service was good, as was the food. I would return.

You will find delicious food and a terrific bakery here. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The food delicious! We recommend the burritos! A family friendly place with a nice little patio outback makes this one of our go to places for local food. The macaroons are delicious for an after dinner treat and the selection of beers and sodas... More

This place is what you would expect in a small Mexican restaurant . The food is pretty good the ambiance is tacky but overall it was real good and we will be back. Service was good.

The motel where we stayed in Newberg recommended this restaurant when I asked for a good Mexican place to eat. Since we were spending our vacation money on wine purchases, we wanted good but inexpensive food. We were not disappointed. My husband ordered the chicken mole and I had the Chicken Mazatlan which was a delicious dish with chicken, onions,... More

You here the term authentic many many times when it comes to Mexican food. Most do not come close. This establishment does. Pinata for sale off the ceiling, The food is fantastic and the authentic baked goods are great. No Krispy Creme here. I stated authentic.

We eat here on several occasions mostly lunch time and then we buy baked Mexican breads to take home or to work.

A friend of mine told me about this place so I decided to give it a try. By far this is the best in Newberg. I had the Sopa's with marinated pork and it was delicious. I ordered 3 of the Sopa's and that was way too much. Next time I will order 2. The food came out in a... More

We visited on Monday and were delighted to find such authenticity in this small town! I would recommend the "sopes" and the tacos. Great salsa bar!

Not much was open on a Sunday so we dropped into Gonzalez's. Of the four meals, only one was better than average. Luckily it was mine. It could be that the food was different than the Mexican restaurants the kids are used to (they love black beans and Gonzales's serves pinto beans) but there were other problems. One meal was...
