Absolutely top notch! I've tried them all. None better can be found on the Oregon Coast. Fresh caught cod with the lightest batter. Not greasey. I think they batter the fries too. Crunchy! These guys have set the highest bar in my opinion.
My husband and I had lunch at the Riverside Fish and Chips for the first time and were very pleased with our experience. It was on a Monday just as they were opening up for the day. There were already people there waiting to place...their order. We ordered one order of fish and chips and one order of the fish tacos to share. It took twenty minutes for our order and we had heard from other people that the wait could be as long as an hour. We sat at one of the outdoor picnic tables to eat our fish, fries, and tacos. The fish and fries arrived hot and were perfectly seasoned and very crispy. Absolutely delicious! Riverside also makes their own slaw and tartar sauce--both very good. We would definitely go back again the next time we are in the area. Highly recommend! Their fish is worth the wait!More
Rude staff. Came about 30 minutes before closing, but they acted like that was an insane thing to do. (but they close at 6pm!!) Maybe they could open a bit later in the day, but stay open till 7pm? Or at least don't be rude...to customers who show up at a normal dinner time (5:30) hoping for food! Went nearby to another spot where we weren't treated like invaders for showing up to order some food.More
Don't miss out! They close early so don't make the same mistake as we did the first night. Fish and chips were Great Their Fish Tacos were delicious as well.
Riverside Fish & Chips was all the craze when we came here for lunch in April. Fish n’ chips as a meal has never been high on the list of Cherry Wonderdog’s favorite culinary experiences, but we figured this might be as good a time...as ever to give it another go. Sadly, Riverside Fish n’ Chips just reinforced the opinion that this simply ain’t good food, nor did Riverside do anything to distinguish itself as best of a bad category. For one thing, the prices at Riverside were steep. Considering we are talking about a gloried filet of fish, it felt like highway robbery to pay what we paid to get a few chunks of oily battered cod with oily French fries in a paper basket for outdoor consumption. Nothing here was special or especially good. Initially the truck workers (this was, after all, a food stand in a truck) forgot the tartar sauce, but it ended up pretty disgusting anyway. The homemade coleslaw was good and could have salvaged the meal, but the amount they gave in the tiny plastic container would have frustrated even a pet mouse. Bottom line, Cherry Wonderdog vows to never eat fish n’ chips again. The food at Riverside left a hole in my stomach at a price well beyond what it's worth. This isn’t good food nor good either for the gastrointestinal or cardiovascular systems. Two stars on the Cherry Wonderdog scale is generous.More
If you're in the area, definitely stop by. We were kayaking nearby and this was an awesome treat. Even though we waited a very long time, about 45 minutes with hungry bellies, it was still worth it. The fish and chips were so fresh and...perfectly crispy on the outside.More
worth a little wait while they individually prepare your order. Great customer service and setting. Food outstanding

Happy to have this "comfort food" available despite pandemic; great fries; fish cooked just right. Delivers on a timeless favorite
One of the great places here to have fish & chips! It's all outdoors along the river. There are picnic tables to use. Enjoy the food, fresh air, & the river. Bring your kayak.
Although I prefer a panko coating over beer batter, these fish & chips are some of the best on the Oregon Coast. Probably the least greasy, thinnist batter I've had. They batter the fries too and they are equally as good. My lady had a...wonderfull grilled Tillamook cheese sandwich . It was served cut with each half wrapped. Nice touch. She also loved the Craisen cold slaw. Terrific crew making it all happen. Cool setting too made for a memorable lunch. All of this and reasonably priced. Riverside Fish & Chips will get many return visits from us.More
We flagged this spot for Fish & Chips during our drive up the Oregon Coast. Stopped by for lunch around 1 pm on Tuesday 7/27 and it was super crowded. They said there would be a 30 minute wait for the fish & chips which...was fine. We got a table in the shade in the outdoor patio. They also have tables outside. They are in a really nice spot right by the water. We ordered the 3 piece cod for $14. Fish came out hot and crunch and really delicious. Definitely worth the wait.More
Nice setting on the river. Friendly service. The fish is perfectly done. The chips are not an afterthought but crisp and unusually tasty. The slaw is excellent, with craisins a fun addition. Tartar seems house-made and excellent, and they use Portland brand. ketchup.
