The review you hate to write......but a necessary one! This restaurant is the unique one that should be a cornerstone of Milwaukie that people come over the bridge to eat at it. It should be the talk of the town and word of mouth should spread like wildfire. I mean how many places do tamales and do them freshly prepared,... More

Charles is an idiosyncratic and delightful host. He made us great margaritas during the Saturday closing time and grilled asparagus topped with juicy grilled shrimp. All delicious. There's nothing cookie-cutter about this place - it's an original. Try it!

You go here tomales are the thing to order. These were OK. I guess I have been spoiled by others that I have gotten that were much better. The service was very good and the place was not crowded or had a wait to be served.

Hadn't been in quite a while, nothing fancy about this place, still serving up generous portions of genuine Mexican food, friendly staff, great menu, enjoy!

For authentic Mexican Food, this is the best place to go! Great food and well worth the money! Not all Mexican food tastes the same, thank goodness, because the cooks, aren't all from Mexico, in many establishments! This one is delicious and is prepared by authentic Mexican cooks. Even within Mexico, you will taste a wide range of different Mexican... More

I went to the Manzanita Farmer's Market for a tamale. The elderly gentleman was one of the most rude people I've encountered. Not only did he cut me off twice, he then pointed his finger up at me and said "wait". When I asked for something that was clearly listed on his menu, he talked to me as if I... More

Not worth it! $57.00 a dozen!!! Seriously! We're from L.A. where the most delicious tamales are $1.00 each. $10.00 a dozen! The tamales here are tasty, good masa...but defiantly not worth the excessive price. We won't be back. :(

We actually went to the Astoria OR location. I cannot say enough about this great little place! Fresh and delicious food, creative recipes. I had the chicken/asparagus tamale and it was superb! I also had a yummy cup of chicken tortilla soup. Charles was delightful and helpful. Do not leave without having a margarita, you won't be sorry!
