we got the fish and chips/chowder lunches. Fish is good; not greasy and the crust is crunchy and not soggy. Chowder's OK, a bit thick and not a lot of clams.

I was there yesterday for take-out fish and chips. Great place for fresh fish dinners. We get take-out fish and chips there often. Halibut, or Cod, they are great! And the prices are reasonable. But the inside dining area is small. And since it's so popular with the local people, it may be crowded at times.

Had the Halibut fish & chips. J's was recommended by Janel, one of the housekeepers at the Comfort Inn where we were staying. It was good, maybe a tad pricey but people seem to like it. If you are a fish and chips kind of person then definitly give it a try.

The food tasted good, but the place is dirty and messy. There was all sorts of garbage on the dining room floor. The tables were not washed either. A lot of customers were there though. I don't think I would eat there again. I could only think about what condition the kitchen might be in. The service was quick and... More

J's was recommended by a co-worker, it takes some getting used to the place and it seems to have quite a reputation. Price was very reasonable as coworker had suggested and food didn't disappoint except the chowder seemed like it wasn't done. (potatoes not fully cooked and clam taste wasn't throughout just in the little bit of clam) All that... More

If it wasn't for Tripadvisor, I wouldn't have tried J's before. The Halibut fish and chips was very good and the clam chowder was up there with some of the best I've tasted. Way better than Mo's!

This place should be on the beach someplace down Mexico way. Food is very good, filling and priced right. I had battered cod with chowder (One of several $6 lunch specials) My cod was fresh and the batter light and flakey. Chowder was good. I will come back to try their fish tacos. Space is cozy and they do a... More

Good value. Fish was tasty. Curious number of signs in the restaurant. Don't do this, don't do that, blah blah. Kind of odd.

This restaurant was previously listed on Trip Advisor and now it isn't. We found it by using Trip Advisor. Recently we were visiting Lincoln City and thought we would check their latest reviews before going back and found they weren't listed, although we drove by and they were obvioulsy open and doing business.
