My husband and I came to the coast for our anniversary, and ended up having dinner here. I had the Crab mac and cheese, my husband had the Gyro and clam chowder, and we shared cheese curds for an app. The food was amazing!!! The...wait staff were incredible, super fun, nice, helpful, and gave great recommendations. We had a great time at dinner this evening. My husband and I will definitely be coming back.More
Had dinner here. Hubby had omnivore pizza which he liked well enough to take the leftovers. I had salad and crab cakes. Crab cakes were delicious and salad was fresh. Hubby tried a couple of their beers which he liked and I had a very...good lemon drop. Service was good and they are prepared for Covid precautions.More
Horrible service, over-charged, lousy food, and overpriced for the low quality: ... Sorry this is long but there were just SO MANY screw-ups I can't make it shorter...
Ordered take out-- Just two very simple items (ahi tacos and a cannon chowder bowl). They said...20 mins-- we arrived about 25 minutes later to pick up... There were 3 or 4 people waiting for takeout also but we let them know what we were there for and then waited for the other people in front of us. A few minutes later, it was our turn, but the server then walked outside and didn't come back for 20 or 30 minutes. She walked right by us and never said a word. A busser said she would be "right back." Keep in mind, the restaurant was almost completely empty and this was on a Monday night. Finally got sick of waiting and went up to the bar-- Bartender and another server both completely ignored us (meaning, at this point, I have tried to get service from 4 separate employees). That's when I noticed there were bags of to-go food on the bar. I went over to see if one was mine but before I could check, one of the employees behind the bar suddenly appeared, obviously thinking I was going to grab the food and run or something. She asked if we had "cashed out." When I said we had been waiting for to-go food and just wanted to pay and leave, she didn't help us and again told us the first server would be "right back." So I sat down and waited again. Just as I was about to walk out, the firsts server finally came back and immediately helped a customer who had JUST ARRIVED. After that, I finally managed to speak with the server and told her we had been waiting for a long time for simple to-go food. She rang me up-- and yes, the food had been sitting on the counter the whole time-- I had just needed someone to take 30 seconds to run a credit card. Got back to our hotel. Food was cold and needed to be microwaved. At this point it had been about an hour! When I ate it, it was edible but very disappointing. THEN i realized that I had been over-charged. Price should have been $29 but I was charged $33. I had been so annoyed and hurried, so I hadn't taken my receipt or noticed it at the time... I think (although I am not sure) the server gave herself a $4 tip, which is why the price wasn't right, so I called back to speak to a manager. She did comp the meal (after I yelled at her)-- but she gave a bunch of excuses about how they had been "slammed" and had "a bunch of to-go orders all at once." Considering the dining room was practically empty, I wasn't too sympathetic... Plus, my food was ready on-time-- I just needed someone to cash me out, which, apparently, only ONE person could do. And the stupidest part of all this?!: I've had multiple very similar experiences at this place. I only went because I thought the service would be better if I called in advance (and I wanted to get my passport stamped). I definitely won't be going back.More
I had the fish and chips. The food was great the service was also great. Good place for family dining. They had plenty of space for social distancing. Their fish was better cooked then a fish house that was close.
While staying in Lincoln City, we have twice visited. As a general rule, we love McMenamins locations, their food and beer both good, not amazing. Wow, our attitude has changed, or possibly they have. We were greeted warmly, walked to our table while the greeter...pointed out Covid policies and noted restroom locations. Our servers, Bella tonight, were both informed and on top of their game. Lots of beers to choose from, and I swear they are brewing not just more but better! Cajun tots, were as always, fantastic. We were never left waiting, servers were the best! It's been a tough year, and as a Vet, I truly mean, "thank you for your service."More
Had lunch yesterday. Greeted very well, and offered an outside table as requested right away. Service went downhill after that. Ordered drinks while we looked at the menu. Fifteen minutes later they arrived. They weren't too complicated (draft beer and iced tea), and they shouldn't...take that long. At that time we ordered food (fish & chips), also not too difficult. After 30 minutes I got up to try and find the waiter. I looked inside and only a couple of tables were occupied. I found the waiter, who was bringing our meals. I asked why it took over 45 minutes to receive food and beverages, and he said it's because we were competing with take out orders. Not a satisfactory response for me.
Food was warm and well prepared, but I've never had such slow service from a McMenamins before. I overheard the couple behind us say they'd been there for 1 hour and then they got up and left without ever receiving their food.More
