I ordered an appetizer of tempura shrimp (shrimp was tough, batter not seasoned) maguro 🍣 nigiri (definitely not fresh) and a tempura shrimp 🍤 Roll (no flavor). They only offer water, hot tea, beer and sake. Service is impersonal I was the only person in...the restaurant until another two came in. I did not enjoy my food and I love sushi. I don’t understand how this place is open.More

Sorry, I have to say that the dinner we had here was the most disappointed dining experience for our road trip along Oregon coast. Our family are sushi lovers, we ate sushi in many cities, Vancouver, Nanaimo, New York, Seattle, but I have to say...the sushi here was nothing like we ate before, the box was very basic, no Tempura, only several very basic rolls, the Salmon teriyaki was not the right way to make Teriyaki. Improvement needed.More

We were so excited to have sushi on the coast We typically visit Lincoln City a couple times a year! Looking forward to a great experience We showed up at 8:20pm they're supposed to close at 9:30 and they stopped us at the door and...said they were closing soon so only if you're willing to do take out. I did mention that it said online and on their front door that they close in 9:30 but he suggested that they change their time and then backtrack and said that it was slow... So we ordered our sushi and some teriyaki over $100 between the 5 of us. I have to say that we were very disappointed obviously hard to do a very good presentation since it was to go but look more like something you pick up in the grocery store. Also very skimpy portions for $16 a roll hardly any ginger or wasabi as well. The chicken teriyaki was good but average. Everybody that had sushi was running to the bathroom all night long... I don't know if they were careless that they want to leave or they use bad fish or what but the sushi was definitely nothing special except for a good laxative. Will not be hunting their sushi ever again! Shame on you Sushi hunters. I'd really like our money back. 8/6/2019More

Unfortunately, the sushi Hunter restaurant was one of the disappointing experiences on our weeklong trip to the Oregon coast. We had picked up a menu a few days before, and because we love sushi, we’re somewhat excited about going to a new sushi place Our...excitement was very short-lived… We ordered a Bento box each with teriyaki chicken one order was edible the other order was completely uncooked and raw and the chicken pieces tasted pulpy and chewy. I asked for the chicken to be re-cooked, they returned within a minute with the chicken in the same state that I sent it back in. The salad in the Bento box consisted of several small pieces of lettuce a shred of carrot and a dollop of some unknown dressing. The wasabi was the size of a World War II ration, and we had to ask for more. Although the unsweetened iced tea was two dollars a glass, there was no refill, We ordered a couple of side sushi rolls, which came out OK… They were very small, yet tasty. We escaped from the restaurant for about 50 bucks for two people… And promptly went next-door to the cold stone creamery and washed down the nasty teriyaki sauce with some great ice cream. I predict that in the future the “Sushi Hunter” may very well become “Customer hunter”. We won’t be back.More

Hubby and I each ordered a different sushi roll and then split them to have a variety. The food was very good. Wish I could say the same about the service. The staff uses those little palm order phones to take order so they never...look up at you. We waited so long for someone to take our order that we became good friends with the couple in the next booth. Enjoy the good food, but be prepared to wait for it.More

Sushi is good tasting, the rolls are on the bigger side, miso soup could use more tofu, I don't believe it is freshly made, probably from a concentrate. Service has gotten better, more friendly. Overall it's a decent sushi joint. I wish they had better...seared ahi.More

We visited after a long day at baseball tournament and we are all hungry. We got to sit up to the bar w here we were able to visit with the sushi chef and take his super recommendations. We were all beyond happy with our...order and service, devouring every morsel to our discomfort. We loved it so much that we returned the next night and were not disappointed. Tuna poke was outrageous! The chef blessed us with a delightful fruit carving using an orange to make a cute little critter sporting an umbrella. It was delicious...Glad I remembered to take a picture. Fish was fresh, delectable. I want to go again NOW!More
